Ah...Hm.

Not really big on the humor, or Rapunzel's voice, or the awful pop songs...Still, this is obviously a really rough trailer so let's hope the final one will play a little less desperately.

Interesting! I'm guessing it's not a short, simply because the number of different dinosaurs/characters there are rough models of. Normally most of their shorts don't feature more than two or three characters...Could be wrong of course.

Looks like you were on to something - turns out the character is male, something the character design doesn't suggest at first glance...;)

Here's a new character poster from the film, which was posted on Disney/Pixar's Facebook page -

Neat! I'll have to dig around for a pair of 3-D glasses so I can see how successful the technology is. Also, I find it kind of hilarious that they chose to film parakeets with the cameras, of all things. :) Reminds me of a few years ago when, as a kid, I started trying to make 3-D drawings by trying...

Re:

No, it's obviously in 3-D, just like...every other space-chimp loser who thought a cool-glasses engagement would put them in with the big boys. Actually I was referring to the design of the character, not the double-vision effect that was present in the Wikipedia image but not in the picture I post...

Here's the screencap of the movie Wikipedia has, but without the weird double-vision effect -

Hmm...Something about this design is off-putting to me but I can't figure out what it is...

Well then, I'll bring along a notepad and see what I can do. :)

According to Floyd Norman it did...In this case, it's unfortunate that he's usually a valid source for this stuff, as I think the movie sounded cute.

Re: Alpha and Omega

Its always refreshing to hear studios producing films outside of the major companies. Same here, though admittedly I'd rather see the indy studios take on more unique projects than the major players usually put out. I suppose the truly original stories don't sell as many plushies as the "two animal...

I just got some exciting news that Bruce W. Smith, the lead animator of Dr. Facilier and creator of The Proud Family, will be coming to my school this Thursday to give a lecture about animation. I'm pretty pumped about this, and will be sure to mention any interesting tidbits on his work in PatF in ...

I agree that the problem with the profits of these Disney films lies not within their princess subject matter, but largely in the release dates of the movies. PatF went up against The Squeakuel this year, which we all new was unfortunately guaranteed to make more money. And a few days after both of ...

While I have no interest in this particular movie, I will say that I did enjoy the sequel to the original book quite a bit. Wonder why they didn't go with that story for this cartoon? Guess it was too 'dark'...Ah well.

Don't worry, I'm not slamming the poster or anything. The image just popped into my mind when I saw it is all.
