I can't believe I forgot to watch it! Argh! Well, if it was pretty good, then I'll have to get the DVD. (And great news this weekend about The Muppet Show sets coming!!!)

I have the Archive Edition, which I mainly chose for the cover, which I preferred over the later laserdisc (30th, I think) Anniversary set. I think that the Anniversary LD had one more small featurette, though. Neither one really had a whole lot on it when compared to the new DVD. There is some Behi...

I've got this ordered. I do have it on tape already, but will appreciate having it on DVD. Certainly, it's not up there with the all-time great serials, but it is great fun. I think I actually find it more watchable in some ways than the Superman serials, where Kirk Alyn always looked painfully clue...

You should have little trouble finding it. Amazon and other online stores have it. You may get it cheaper on eBay. If you do not like to shop online, then a well-stocked comic shop should have it. It's had many printings.

It's a bit of a clumsy story as I recall, but powerful all the same.

I'm dying to see this film. From what little I have seen of it, I love it already. I doubt it'll come to theaters where I am, so I'll be jumping on the DVD. (George: Orlando ain't so bad. I was there for 5 years in the 90s. Sure, it's got no real culture--- just pop culture--- but it's still a nice ...

Agreed!! The characters, the satire, the wacky plots.... all terrific. It's surprising that there has not been more discussion clamoring for a DVD release. I'm glad I have all the tapes Disney put out.

It's listed as an import (i.e. coming from the U.S.), so I'm seriously doubting there's any bilingulal packaging. :)

Price watch: Amazon.ca is actually listing this disc at 30% off, at $25.26 in Canadian dollars (or about $20US)---- a much better deal than Amazon.com (29.95US)!

"Boner" (pardon my language  ) was actually a word back then?? What did it mean???? A "boner" is a stupid mistake or ill-advised action. I didn't even realize that not everyone had heard of it in that context before. There was also a "Boner" character on the 1980s show Growing Pains -...

It was started *many* years before Aladdin came out, which led to an accusation or two once Aladdin was released. Maybe someone has a good link for the background on this?

It's in your first post of this page of the thread. It stands out mainly because it's one of the few words in that sentence you spelled correctly.

As I have the widescreen (2.35:1, I believe) laserdisc, there is no reason for me to get the DVD. There is some great animation there, though. Too bad the DVD buyers will only get to see about half of it.

...still hoping for a 2-disc set with more of the original animation.

I agree with all your points. Too bad that WHV is so far issuing these DVDs as part of the Kids line only, when many of us would appreciate season sets. I don't mind there being single discs out, as there is a market for those too; but it'll be nice if/when the box sets come out. Starcrossed was gre...

Amazon.com is actually the only on-line retailer I have found for this disc, so it looks like it has limited distribution. Even Amazon.ca does not list it, nor can it be found on dvdpricesearch.com. Amazon.com may be the only source. If someone sees it listed or on the shelves elsewhere, I'd appreci...

I just came over to give the same update, when I saw you had started this thread. The DVD looks awesome. I'm amazed at everything that is being included--- it's a true treasure trove for us Harryhausen buffs, even if some of it has been seen elsewhere.
