I was quite impressed by this. It's quite original, or at least I think so. *thinks of other films taking place during the 50s about talking cars* Are there any?Macaluso wrote:I feel so alone, looking forward to this movie =(

I hope the Incredibles wins :) Shrek 2 was pretty lame. they really should have worked on the writing. Woah, a bad review of Shrek 2, never thought I would see that in my life time. I'm also shocked Sky Captain wasn't nominated, if that isn't nominated, then The Polar Express shouldn't be either. I...

I dont think it's fair to use Anime as an example of why animated films should not be longer than 90 minutes. The Japanese do things differently, the way they tell their stories is different. They are alla bout sureal symbolism and bizzare meaning, They like to kill of their main characters and mos...

Disney sure is coming up with some great taglines for the film: "When it comes to saving the world, it helps to be a little 'chicken'." Definately better than "April 2, Bust a Moo." Overall, I think this trailer makes me even more excited about the film than anything else. It describes the film muc...

Re: Polar Express is a CREEPY-LOOKING MOVIE!
Honestly, I'm not worried. Polar Express will flop exactly the same way that Final Fantasy did... probably faster since at least the Final Fantasy stills had a better aesthetic, even if the animation itself looked so terrible. I liked Final Fantasy..... Final Fantasy had awesome animation, no doubt...

The Incredibles is the first traditional animated film of it's length that has a story. The Incredibles isn't "traditional" - it's CGI! ;) I have to say that, whatever you think, Fantasia IS counted by all and sundry as an animated film, albeit an anthology one, but it is the longest out there. I a...

Re: Polar Express is a CREEPY-LOOKING MOVIE!
This is the stuff that union (SAG, craftsmen, set decorators, make-up artists) nightmares are made of! Honestly, I'm not worried. Re: Iron Giant SE DVD
Okay...so we have a little more time till the release of Brad Bird's highly anticipated Iron Giant SE DVD. I for one can't wait for it! And with Brad Bird's "The Incredibles" getting so much positive advance buzz...it looks like he has another tremendous hit on his hands! :D It's a shame Iron Giant...

Huge thanks to Jawad, who generously hosted the forum for the past year, without his contribution Animated News wouldn't be where it is today. Jawad, thanks for a good year with solid hosting of the forum! James, Ben and the rest of the staff involved (I'm assuming Musicfan had some hand in this)......
