Re: Tintin

Maybe, I dunno. If it's as boring to me as this one was I can't imagine liking it.

It also really don't think the mo-cap used in Tintin was that much better than other uses of MoCap and I really just want mocap to die a horrible death forever

Re: ParaNorman

The fart shoes works because the joke isn't a fart joke. It's a Fozzie-bear-unfunny-joke joke. It's not really the same thing if a character was fartin' it up somewhere else in the movie. Whoopie-cushions are just a very obvious cliche bad comedy prop. As for Paranorman, it looks good. I'm excited f...

Re: Tintin

Personally I though Tintin was really boring and the only part of the movie I liked at all was the chase scene where the camera didn't cut away. Beyond that I was just not drawn into the movie one bit. Maybe it's because I had zero exposure to tintin before the movie, but I just didn't like it.

Re: Rise of the Guardians

This movie looks awesome as hell. Love the unconventional designs of all the fable creatures. Curious why they didn't show Jack Frost in the trailer, but he must have a minor role or gets killed early or something. But yeah it looks awesome. The tooth fairy having this humming bird motif as opposed ...

Re: John Carter of Mars

I liked it. It wasn't great or anything, but it was a fun movie. The problem with it was that the entire thing felt like you were watching someone play an adventure videogame. he goes from point A to point B to point C to point D back to point B then on to point E, with boss fights thrown in through...

Re: Dr. Seuss' The Lorax

Hooray!

Also I loved the set pieces so much in the movie, I decided to draw a little Lorax fanart:

Re: Dr. Seuss' The Lorax

I liked this movie a lot, and I loved the new Horton as well. I only have 3 problems with this movie, and one of them wasn't in the movie itself: 1) The car commercial. What were they thinking? 2) The animals, especially the fish, just being animal versions of the Despicable Me minions. 3) Taylor Sw...

Re:

Wish there was a teaser out, or some footage or design work. Just to get me a little excited over the next release. Maybe Disney needsto borrow the publicity machine of Pixar. Pixar movies are always having stills in magazines like Empire or Total Film and little stories. Months in advance. Disney ...

Re: The NEW Muppet Movie

I'm pretty disappointed that Man or Muppet is the song that's up for best song, instead of Life's a Happy Song. No doubt Man or Muppet and Pictures in my Head are both great songs, but Life's a Happy Song is just so good. In fact I think it's a big missed opportunity to perform Life's a Happy Song a...

Re:

Watched this last night with the family. I found it to be very solid, and a worthy sequel, though I didn't feel the magic like I did in the first (which blew me away). Maybe my expectations were higher the second time around. Nevertheless, I didn't think KFP2 had any major missteps, and did enjoy i...

Re:

I'm amazed Lion King 3-D is doing that well considering the home video release is just around the corner. A lot of people were either really young when they saw it in theaters or too young to have seen it in theaters. It's one of Disney's best animated movies IMO, I can easily see why people want t...

It's just a short film, not a sequel, so it's not a big deal. I do wish they had just left it alone though.
