I know I don't post very often on here, but I just wanted to gush about how excited I am to see this film. Watching the trailers and clips I am utterly astounded by the movement of the characters hair and clothes. they tend to be very stiff, which I can understand, but every once in a while they jus...

I know I've been pretty AWOL on this site since I joined, which I apologize for, it's been a pretty hectic semeseter here at school. None-the-less, I will vote that the Warner Brothers released, Richard-Rich animated version of "The King and I" is arguably the most frustrating and disheartening anim...

Thanks for the warm welcome Ben :)

And back to EricJ, I've had a similar experience. It took me forever to get my best friend to watch it, and then she couldn't stop borrowing it.

Thanks for the kind welcome Ben :) And back to EricJ, I haven't personally seen the anti-Martin Short sentiment, but I'm certain it exists. I think there whole last minute 'goofy, funny, cute, friendly' character advertisement campaign did much more to repel audiances than draw them in. I've had a s...

(And if they hadn't...maybe "Treasure Planet" wouldn't have been panic-promoted as a Wacky Slapstick Comedy, and people wouldn't have fled in terror.) -_- Thank you EricJ for pointing out the horrible marketing of that film. Personally I found it quite enjoyable, but I do know people who only saw i...

I think that it's not so much that it isn't done, because I would argue that some indie films and small projects allow animators to complete darker works, but that the companies that have the money to produce widely viewed films generally do want to make the widest audiance buy into their film. But ...

I know I don't post here much, but his opic really excited me. Droosan, I didn't think of Gaudi when Carmen came to mind, but I think your spot on there. I think it could create a nice underlying visual sensuality to base the films style off of Gaudi's organic, undulating style. I could envision suc...

Once upon a dream - the chances are that Angelina Jolie, though she has done some animated projects probably doesn't know all that much about upcoming animated films, most people I know aren't aware that there is going to be a black princess. I'm well aware that Disney has been showing a greater var...

Hi, I don't post here often but I think I would like to say something to Once. I can understand Angelina Jolie getting upset. I am white, but my best friend is Asian, and for a very long time it hurt her badly that there were no Asian princesses in the Disney line. It thrilled her intensely when Mul...

Hi guys, long time lurker who's never posted before :) I just wanted to point out, and this may be minor, but I think it's interesting in light of all the other changes that have been made to this film, that Tiana's costume has apparently changed in the new image Meg linked too. Now she has a sleeve...
