The Rocky Horrow Picture Show and East of Eden

I hate Hollywood.

yes Alvin is a very real threat. But history has also taught us these sequels don't improve over their predecessors. Scooby Doo, Garfield, 102 Dalmatians, heck even Babe 2, all failed to match the succes of the original. So odds are against Alvin to make more than $200 million. Of course that doesn'...

I think this is a crucial moment where Disney needs to show full confidence in their product and not back out. Bolt proved that WDAS under Lasseter is more than capable of making old school Disney flicks. Everyone knows both Chipmunks and Spyro are gonna suck, so I think in terms of promotion Disney...

Nice for Bolt! Surprisingly, more nods than WALL-E.

It's amazing how quickly Lasseter got Disney's level of quality up.

I never though American Dog looked that great. At least, it didn't look nearly as good as Lilo & Stitch.

I hope Sanders is free to do what he wants over at Dreamworks.

Bolt looks terriffic in my opinion.

Production Design

hey hey! I'm in my last year of arts college with illustration as my major and for a paper/essay I'm doing research on production design. So basically anything that covers storyboarding, conceptual artwork etc etc. I already own the book Dream Worlds: Production Design for Animation, but would like ...

Have more people warmed up to American Dad in the last year at all?

It totally took the lead over Family Guy. The writing in AD is great. The season premiere with Steve hitting puberty was hilarious. Especially the Forrest Gump/16 candles-esque ending. So funny.

Rhapsody in Blue is the greatest thing about Fantasia 2000 and is the only segment that is on par with the quality of the original Fantasia.

The rest felt like repeating the original film with less imagination. As if the animators didn't really have anything to prove. No story to tell.

I want Robert Downey Jr. as Sparrow's brother. :P What I'm not up for is the Jule Vernes-esque Dinosaur/Atltantis plot. That would be massive overkill. They need to keep it small and focus on a tight story and not make it too bloated. That's what people hated about AWE. Besides the twist overkill of...

how about this. Now that Dinosaur is in, guess wich animated film will become the 50th film in Disney's canon? exactly, Rapunzel. What film could possibly be better to celebrate and (naturally) be marketed as Number 50. than Rapunzel. King of the Elves is kind of uneventful in comparison. My guess i...

oh wow, Ive been waiting forEVER for an official site of the studio that actually covers the classic animation. All their other official movie sites are plagues with Hannah Montana ads.

This looks like Pixar's official site. Love it.

lol, I love how she went from silent sidekick from the fifties to trashy in 2006 to a female Indiana Jones with wings.

this actually looks decent for a DTV. And I'm glad tey're making this instead of unnessacery sequels to beloved classics.

excuse me but the economics of movie making have changed. This has absolutely nothing to do with the "old Disney" or the "new Disney" sequels drive Hollywood. There would be no Hollywood without them anymore. And I seriously prefer a line up of Pirates 4, National Treasure 3, Cars 2 and Tron 2 than....

if the paint-ish look is going to end up in the film, could this be some sort of test for the tradtionally animated films like Princess and the Frog. To sort of test to see how CGI rendered backgrounds can look more traditional? just wondering. Also, I read on another forum that the look for Princes...
