Just for the record, "The Wild" is not being produced at Walt Disney Feature Animation.

Thoughts on Skyland

Kudos to SOMEBODY for trying to create a lush look TV show. They've obviously been studying their Castle in the Sky/Laputa dvd's. And their Nausicaa. Too bad it falls short in the execution. That voice acting. Woof! Weak character designs. I actually had no idea that the girl playing basketball was ...

A friend of Lassiter told me. Really just the mood of the people at Pixar. They know they have a winner on their hands.

Direct from folks who are really in a position to know: Cars is one of Pixar's all time best yet. Never, NEVER, discount Pixar. And I wouldn't count on "Cinema Blend" to give you any straight scoop. They have as much inside information on animation as my dog has. Actually, my dog probably has more.

I did some research. From the Academy's rules for consideration in this category: "An animated feature film is defined as a motion picture created using a frame-by-frame technique of at least 70 minutes in running time with a significant number of the major characters animated, and in which animatio...

For me, the reasons I won't let my daughter see this movie until she's 9 or 10 have a lot more to do with the subject matter of the film. It's a damn disturbing film, and not because a teenager utters the word piss. PG-13 isn't supposed to mean "Clean and wholesome." That's G. PG is next to that, wi...

Considering it's a phrase you can use on the telly here in USA, it's pretty mild in a pg-13 movie.

A couple of nitpicks - there's the use of an offensive word when Ron and Harry aren't speaking to each other and it seemed VERY out of place. It had the required "ooh" squirm from the packed audience I saw it with, but I feel that the filmmakers should have had some respect for the parents who will...

Saw Potter and they played the kong trailer.

When kong knocks that airplane out of the sky, I swear the entire audience said "woah, s***!" in unison.

It was quite funny.

Thanks for fixing it.

Sorry if I came off as sarcastic. I attempted a light tone so as not to appear like a primadonna. I guess I failed.

I don't see anything other than a friendly note when I re-read my email to you. I'll try better next time.

Re: Chicken Little's 3rd Weekend B.O. Figures

The main reason it took a 53% drop this weekend was because of the beemoth that is otherwise known as Harry Potter (which made a record-breaking $101.4 million). Also keep in mind that similar films (like The Incredibles, Shrek 2 & Monsters Inc) also took 50% drops in their 3rd weekends. Moderator ...
