Re: Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Live-Action)

That touches on Victor and Hugo being named after author Victor Hugo — surprise — but I never understood why the third female gargoyle wasn’t called Marie. Not only is it a classic French female name as we know it today, but back then when such things were more common, it was actually Victor Hugo's ...

Re: Will Disney buy DWA? No! Universal did!

Only because Universal — or rather Comcast — still has an interest in a third share of Hulu. Once Disney buys them out and/or the license runs out, they’ll be forever more on Comcast's Peacock service. :)

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Oh, I found the epilogue "fine" too. It just doesn’t really belong on the end of this film!

Re: Enchanted

Enchanted was Disney's knee-jerk reaction to Shrek. As I’ve said urned out very well because it came from a place of understanding of the legacy and not just from a sniping point. Do try to keep up. And bringing Princess Tiana "back" still doesn’t make sense. How can you bring Princess Tiana "back" ...

Re: What happened with Crest Animation?

A&O and sequels also went to Splash. There is no mystery. A bunch of flops put Crest out of business and, as happens so often when films are in active production, someone else picked them up to finish them. There’s enough money in these kinds of things on home video to make a series of films viable…...

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

Don’t you hate, though, when a belated sequel or prequel undoes everything that was inherent about an original? I mean, why did Picard triumph over the Borg all those times if he was gone to end up the way he does in the new show? Doesn’t that poo-poo over the reason we love TNG in the first place? ...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

"Snyder's Justice League. Better than the 1970s TV versions of Hulk, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man"…! ;) I am glad to hear you say that the film is better without the epilogue, though. I became tempted on the Korean set that you sent me the link for, but lost that whole morning down a rabbit hole look...
