Monsters Inc. 2 / Brave discussion

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=2730&p=l.htm I'm curious as to how everyone feels about the majority of Pixar's releases within the next few years being sequels, as well as the name change of The Bear And The Bow to Brave. Personally I'm getting really upset about the whole sequel business, an...

Re: Waking Sleeping Beauty

Just found out that Don Hahn is coming to my school on Monday to show us the film. I'm super excited! Can't wait to see the movie and hear him speak.

Bill - MVA was released the same weekend last year as Dragon was this year, so yes, it also had the Good Friday slot and spring breaks to its advantage.

According to Box Office Mojo, HTTYD made $11,050,000 on Friday - that's only about a million less than it made on its opening day, and it's actually a few million more than what Monsters Vs Aliens made the week after its release. Looks like this movie has some strong legs so far! :)

Re:

For example, Battle For Terra had perfectly good animation and only cost $8 million to make. Er, no, it didn't. I never saw this film in its entirety but the clips and trailers I did watch looked pretty mediocre at best. Especially all those stiff, awful character designs...Yikes! With that being s...

I don't blame Chipmunks and Avatar for PatF's box office intake as much as I do Disney for releasing it when they did.

Saw it in 3-D today, and while I am usually not a fan of 3-D (it didn't even do anything for me in Avatar), I would actually recommend seeing this in the format, as I do think it adds to the scale and depth of the overall visual impact. Especially in those action scenes and the ending sequence! That...

I'd be so much more interested in this if it wasn't starring Michael Cera. Good gosh am I tired of that kid.

That's exactly how I feel about her...Ah well, maybe I'll get used to her after hearing more lines from the character.

Heh, while I'm equally disgusted with the choice, I can at least understand the picture nod. It's nomination for Best Original Score, however, just boggles my mind...

Homestar does have some good stuff, especially those Teen Girl Squads. I get such a kick out of 'em.

I also love the Brackenwood series by Adam Phillips. His shorts are easily some of the most beautiful I have seen online. Check them out!

Personally, I love love love The Venture Bros. but could care less about every other show on the station. But yes, starting earlier than 9 seems like a strange decision, since I'm sure there are still kids up and watching cartoons at that time.
