Weren't there short-length films released on PBS a long, long time ago?

Had this one episode on tape where Brother Bear doesn't want to play baseball but is pressured into it by Papa Bear. Like I said, this was a long time ago, probably the late 80's.

Superman Returns goes without saying. That's not a movie I'll decide see this year. It's a fact of life!
That should be their tagline IMHO. "Go see Superman Returns. It's not just a movie...it's a fact of life!"

Matt & Trey are amazing. Totally. Funny, the one thing I remember most about the very first episode of SP is the randy/sexual song that Chef sings: "You...and me....sim-ul-tan-eously...." :P So, his CHURCH (IF you want to call it that -- a Cult's a Cult -- LEGITIMATE RELIGIONS believe in fre...

This show might be good, I just haven't had a chance to watch much TV lately... I give this the Askmike1 Seal of Approval. O.K...I'll definetely take that into consideration! (j/k) And here are a few directions for people who haven't seen the show yet.... 1) Watch one of the episodes 2a) If y...

Still need to watch the entire first one though... You gotta watch that Meg, plus X2 as well. Still kinda wish Bryan was doing X3.... :( (and with a different villain, for once) Anyway, about Cars....I think it's so cool that at the ShoWest screening JK was there in the VIP section, actually...

Hey, just look at Finding Nemo. There has to be at least 30 named characters in that movie! :O Well if you count ALL the bugs in Bug's Life, that's about 200! :P Prince of Egypt also had about 100 separate and unique characters on display, or something like that. No "Superman Returns"? I'd see that...

We need to get back on topic. Every thread we make on Pixar or one of their films seems to turn into a 'let's flame Pixar' thing. I didn't mean to flame them. Sorry if it came off this way. But when Marty says, "You don't see THAT on Animal Planet!", that's a pop-culture reference. True, and I wasn...

Well, Ewan McGregor looked sure looked good.

Loved the light-saber duel between him, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul (dumbest name ever! It sounds like a shopping center.) "Duel of the Fates" music almost makes you forget the rest of the movie. (Though not completely, unfortunately.)

Hollywood is a very odd dynamic of creativity, greed, imprisonment. you do the best you can under disfunctional circumstances. It happens a lot, this, "who did what first". Even though I haven't seen HoodWinked, a lot of critics have been calling it a "Shrek" rip-off. Please. I don't have to see th...

I didn't like the in-jokes in Toy Story II. They did take me out of the movie. Yeah....all I was trying to say was that Pixar does this too, but people don't generally comment on it. Another thing about that film is that it sends-up the older 1950s shows like Howdy Doody or Tom Terrific or other st...

About the prequels, some critics use the excuse that there's less tension because we know how it'll turn out, so it's not Lucas' fault. Uh huh. Everyone knew how Titanic was going to end, but there was plenty of suspense and drama. It's called "good writing." And the other excuse that Phantom s**ked...

Now here's a REALLY interesting article: http://www.jimhillmedia.com/article.php?id=1893 I've commented before on the ultra-secretive world of Pixar. They don't even give studio tours. (at least not to the general public.) Funny, after 20 years of living in the relatively sheltered world of Pixar, J...

George Lucas, in talking about Raidrs IV recently, said "We're essentially making the Phantom Menace here". Now, I know what he meant, but I sure as hell hope not! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! :x  No, please, no!! :( South Park Kids: There's still good in you, Mr. Lucas. We know there is. Geo...
