Now here's a REALLY interesting article: http://www.jimhillmedia.com/article.php?id=1893 I've commented before on the ultra-secretive world of Pixar. They don't even give studio tours. (at least not to the general public.) Funny, after 20 years of living in the relatively sheltered world of Pixar, J...

George Lucas, in talking about Raidrs IV recently, said "We're essentially making the Phantom Menace here". Now, I know what he meant, but I sure as hell hope not! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! :x  No, please, no!! :( South Park Kids: There's still good in you, Mr. Lucas. We know there is. Geo...

Go Trey and Matt! I agree, I love South Park. It never bothered me when they poked fun at Jews. Hayes should know that it's all satire, this show's been on for nine years and scewed just about everyone and everything he only speaks up now becasue it happens to be his religion? What a hypocrite!

Just trying to say that well-known references in DW films are dealt with torches and pitchforks, while much more obscure referecnes in Pixar films are praised as clever and innovative. But I DON'T mean any malice to Pixar. 8) ( Just for info, the number on McQueen racecar is 95, the year Toy Story c...

But the general audience is going to notice stuff like a Jessie doll, ShyVi. Very true, but how many people have ever watched the shorts, or remember that '95' is the year Pixar became a big studio, (or, to be even more blunt, that the original number, "57", is John Lassetter's birth year?) 8) :) T...

I like in-jokes. It's the pop-culture references I have a problem with. Yeah...but, not trying to be argumentative or anything, but aren't they the same thing? No one but Pixar employees and us hard-core fans are going to get the in-jokes. At least pop culture references are aimed at EVRERYONE, the...

Hey, there's nothing wrong with a few in-jokes. I certainly don't think there is either. Like I've said before, Pixar is very cool. I'm just trying to point out that they some of the same things other studios do, and that doesn't make them souless corporate hacks, nor does it make the other studios...

Feel kinda sheepish here, as I am the only person now not terribly excited about this film.... I'm sure it'll be good, and I might definetely see it twice. But talking cars still doesn't thrill me... It still seems very much like other Pixar films, funny and fast and awesome to look at. But n...

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman - Season Four If I remember correctly this was their best season, (Lois gets cloned and eats frogs) but after that it was all downhill. Bummer. Plus back in 1989 or 1990 wasn't there a "Superboy" live-action series or something? No one ever talks ...

Now let's look at the battle on the lava world at the end of Return of the Sith. Throughout the fight, despite the fact that we are told that Anakin's supposed to be one of the strongest of the Jedi, you don't really see any clear victor during Anakin and Obi-wan's chaotic struggle. Despite all of ...

This is the first HP film I didn't go see in the theaters. It looks kinda interesting, so I might get the DVD. But I didn't read past the second book, (about halfway actually) just never had any time and the films kept coming out anyway, so... I'm getting a bit tired of the whole thing, to tell the ...

I'm not sure. It definetely looks expensive, though.

With all that fur, grass, hedge leaves, porcupines, and humans to boot, I bet this film didn't come cheap.

But it still looks AWESOME.

Yeah, I'll get around to it soon. At least to know what the fuss is all about. For some weird reason, and not trying to knock it, the whole plot looks like something you might have seen on "DuckTails." They had a lot of that "Swashbuckling Adventure" stuff, either on the sea and in spa...

Hey, didn't I suggest "Indy IV: The Search for Tenure" a while back?
