Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
I enjoyed Loki 1 but Loki 2 is a hot ball of mess that I honestly cannot tell you what is happening or people's motivation. I'm only sticking with it cause when you've watched 4 episodes you might as well sit through the final 2.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
I'll admit after that final trailer I was thinking of making the hour-long trek to the 'local cinema on opening weekend. You know, just to do something and get out of the house, but apparently, I have reports to write that are due on Monday. Dang my first-world problems. The current series of Loki a...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
I'll admit I just hope Marvel can hold off the implosion until after I get something Young Avengers related.

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
The big question that I want Rob Marshall to answer is why he chose to end the film the way he did? Like surely it would have been better to see Eric and Ariel being pushed towards a larger boat than just offscreen and then fade to black on an empty ocean. It was such an odd choice.

Re: Disney's Wish
It actually reminds me of a live action movie poster where the creator has just slapped random individual shots of actors together and tried to make it look like the actors were all in the same room, at the same time. With Asha looking like she comes from a totally different movie than everyone else.

Re: Disney's Wish
So basically, the reasoning is 'We went with CGI for camera angles'. Look I admit I don't know the technical side of things - but heaps of Disney's hand drawn movies of the 90s have plenty of amazing 'movement of the camera' in them. And incredible characterisation. The reason given for going CGI is...

Re: Disney's Wish
I know it's become a bit of a running joke, but the way the Studio treats Hans from Frozen, you would expect him to be the most sinister and evil villain they have ever created. With no chance for a redemption arc, I'm convinced a live action prequel explaining why he is evil would go out of it's wa...

Re: Aardman's Chicken Run (Franchise)
The robots may not actually exist, they could just be what the rats think are behind the walls, as they explain the plan. Apart from Ginger's voice, this looks like it has potential. And so happy that Babs has not lost her stupidity. I still find myself quoting her 'I don't like gravy' and 'My life ...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I've watched the first episode of Ahsoka and I'm indifferent to it. Haven't committed to keep watching it or to give up on it. I think the main thing I'm struggling with is that I don't really know anything about the pre-story because I never watched any of the animated series linked to the Star War...

Re: The state and future of animation
I think Disney gets a lot of flak because in the past they were seen as the only studio making animated films so every animated film was from Disney. The amount of people who will list films like Anastasia, Shrek, FernGully, Iron Giant etc as Disney is incredible. So maybe people giving Disney flak ...

Typical Disney. Releasing some stuff I wanted a physical copy for, after the revelations that my country isn't worthy of physical releases.

Re: The state and future of animation
I've seen Mirai and it deserved its nomination, And I will forever argue that Flee deserved to win the Oscar over Encanto. It should at least have won one of the awards it was nominated for. The problem is that while the Animation Branch chooses nominations based on the merits of the artform (and us...

Re: Disney ends all physical media in Austraia & Asia! (not japan)
When a company decides to make this decision, they need to also commit to not removing their IP from their streaming service that this decision benefits. As an Aussie this is disappointing news. I also feel for those people who live in the parts of Australia that have dodgy internet service and prob...
