Re: Complete Carl Barks Disney Comics Collection Coming!

Oh, I do like that a lot!! I've been getting the Murry volumes, too. I've seen some criticism for him being the "bland" Mickey artist (was it Thad K, or someone like that?), but me and his stories go way back, and it's fun to see the collected stories in hardcover. (Also, see his comic strip collect...

Adaptations of Ducktales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and Epic Mickey are also coming out from Fantagraphics, among other books.

Speaking of...! 71XggG75MRL._SL1280_.jpg Just saw this new listing: Disney Masters Vol. 27 - Walt Disney's Goofy: Super Goof and the Strange Case of Dr. Syclocks - coming out this fall!! "Silver Age fan-favorite artist Paul Murry brings us his full run of adventures from Super Goof plus select later...

Re: Complete Carl Barks Disney Comics Collection Coming!

Finishing... with Volume 1! Is that it, then? No more volumes to add at the end? I guess we already got the Barks-written Junior Woodchuck stories, right? I still have a few volumes to pick up (planning to get slipcases when I can, especially for the Scrooge volumes), but I have loved the presentati...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

I think that for many of us, "classic" Disney is the Walt era at most.

Re: How does everyone feel about Disney these days?

I still love Disney for its history (I had a blast at D23), but the latest projects have been swings and misses. The last few animated films were relative duds critically, aside from maybe Encanto. Wish was sadly awful. Two of the next three are sequels, following Moana 2. Marvel was generally great...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Sure, but the actual classics have now been done. Wait... isn't Bambi coming yet? As for Snowy... it is what it is. I don't hate it (that would be a waste of energy), and I might even enjoy it. Rachel is quite pretty and has pipes (though I'm not digging her haircut, and she's not particularly "fair...

Hm.
Rihanna. Okay. Too bad it's only her voice. Beautiful girl.
Smurfs in the real world, again.
Influencer Smurf.
It only took about 5 seconds for someone to smurf his pants.
Uncle Smurf?

I'm not the target audience, of course, but... Looks okay.

Re: WB Archive Collection: Discs On Demand!

Magilla Gorilla is the next H-B series to hit Blu-ray. And, being from the original negs, they promise we'll get the original opening, bridges, and end credits this time, none of which were on the DVD. Great news, but I still need to pick up the last few H-B releases. They shall all be mine soon eno...

Re: Oscars called out by studios over treating animation like trash!

BAF has a real race this year! Snail likely has no real chance, but the other four are all in the running. And--- BAF effectively keeps animated films out of the Best Picture category. I've accepted it. Awards shows are a farce anyhow. No one has time to watch all those films and come to proper conc...

Re: YouTube Goodness

13th Dimension has a great set of live action superhero commercials in the article below. I had never seen most of these. Marc McClure reprising Jimmy Olsen?!?

Re: Moana

It's just 61% on RT, though the audience score is much higher. And even the positive reviews from critics are largely tepid.

But yeah, great that audiences like it and that Dis has a hit.
