Yeah, but it was only one disc! How much can you get on one disc? It didn't seem very much to me. It was mostly technical stuff too, making-of. NO deleted scenes, not in animatic, storyboard version, NADA. How about: Showing us an actual story meeting with the artists and how this movie evolved? A s...

It does look like a neat place to work, but for me that goes for pretty much all major animation studios. Yeah but DW has palm trees, a fountain, all that California Spanish architechture (kinda looks like Stanford), an outdoor swimming pool, those gorgeous vines and gardens....plus you get free lu...

Mirama...sorry, the Weinsteins took the film (a French/Brit co-pro) and re-dubbed it with American voices (much like they do all the time gawd these guys don't get animation).
Right, weren't they the guys who screwed up Thief and the Cobbler?

OH YEAH. Finally some good movies to watch after another atrocious year in film (so far) I haven't gone to the theater since watching King Kong. Seriously, NOTHING in the movies has interested me for a long time, probably since last summer. I did go see Chicken Little, but that was about it. :( Hey ...

It alternates between Elfman and Silvestri as to who is my favorite. Silvestri did Roger Rabbit, didn't he? I also love Elfman. Just got the Edward Scissorhands score. :) The Wild sounds kinda interesting. I love all animation. Sorry that I was so skeptical about it. I'll try to be more open...

I never watched R and S. Too gross for me.... I think he's kind of a wacko. I read an interview with him and Mike Barrier and basically he's like well almost everything that EVER came from Disney animation including most of what Walt did was crap. He's a hard core Bob Clampett/Chuck Jones guy. In hi...

You sir have completely missed the fact that the gummis were (supposedly) R-E-L-A-T-E-D. If Cubbi and Sunny "got together" it would be incest. I assume Disney would frown on that. Well, technically, Simba and Nala getting togethr was incest. (even if they didn't have the same mom either Scar or Muf...

I agree! Maybe if the storylines were different, but they're all kinda similar jokey-buddy-comedies-action films. I'm a hard-core traditional or classical animation fan. 3d is nice but IMO there's only so many places you can go with it emotionally. There's still so much that hasn't been done in 2d, ...

Whoops...almost forgot about this post, Wonder! Well, on the Simpsons Season 4 commentary for "The Front" (the episode where Bart and Lisa write an Itchy and Scratchy episode) the producers said that according to John K, the Simpsons succeeded "in spite of the weak writing..." Oh-kay. Whateve...

I never really watched the Gummis much, (they were always on right before Duck Tails) but IMO the Smurfs brings up these questions as well. (There were like 3 females by the end--Smurfett, Sassett and Grandma Smurf.) I don't think the Smurfs were related, but you never knew exactly how they came to ...
