Clearly the most under appreciated animated film by the general public was Iron Giant. I irony of under appreciated films is that I may not have seen them. (does that makes sense?) So here are a few that never get a mention that I saw as a kid and would like to see again. The Mouse and His Child--Al...

True. The movie was given the green light at a low point in the relationship between Disney and Pixar. (Wow, it is sort of unbelievable to think about those days considering all that has happened since.) I guess IF the movie had been made on time AND had made the 200 million domestic haul of Madagas...

Since there is ENDLESS speculation, here's the truth

The Wild was developed as a screenplay by the live action group at Disney. It was purchased as a pitch (verbal story) from writers and a screenplay was developed from that pitch--at the time it was called, The Big Break. This is 1999. Oddly, it starred a lion named. . . ALEX! Anyway, it was not clea...

Luckily I don't feel bad getting criticized by people with such poor spelling and use of the English language.

I don't think they had "technical"

problems with TMNT, more like story problems. It didn't really broaden the fanbase. So that is my concern for AB. Some of the teaser art has him shirtless (borderline creepy) and this last standee he has a blue polo shirt (boring.) Anyone have any final character art? Just curious.

"Actually, I didn't mind the first half of the first...but by the middle and very loose "hey this could have sequel opportunities so let's not get them back" end, I was lost and actually found The Wild to be the more repeatable movie."

You just made my day.

JB is working on

animation for the dvd of Kung Fu Panda. They are producing dvd extras in 2-D. They are essentially shorts featuring the side kick characters. I don't know any creative details beyond this.

I have no idea at all about the specifics today, but the problem of pursuing a sequel has always been that there is SO much gross out to the participants there would almost be no way for Disney to make enough money to justify the astronomical up front production cost.

Why not more songs from Enchanted? You have to enter songs in order for them to be eligible. Disney only submitted the three songs for consideration. (Not sure why--is there a limit to the number of songs one can nom for the category perhaps?) Why these? I am sure it was a decision made with the inf...

Yes, the DVD will have interviews with menken/schwartz and kevin lima. I have not seen the final version of all the DVD content, but there is lots of potential material to include. I HOPE they include the alternate opening song demo! It was written years ago, when, ironically, Jon Turteltaub was att...

OOH I like the cover idea! Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with the video release. Furthermore, the DVD and packaging is already done. We finished the movie early relative to theatrical release, so they got a jump start this past summer. I have not seen anything yet, but I have a hunch they will...

Prince Edward is a send up of the fact that most of the Disney princes are all hero and very little character. Here we got to have fun with digging into who these guys are. Yes, he is funny like Gaston and perhaps there is a little of that in him, but PE is all good guy. He may be a bit too handsome...

I am glad you made the comments. Any discussion is good. I am thrilled that with the onslaught of movies this xmas, Enchanted still figures into the conversation. No intention to offend at all. Sorry if it seemed that way. There was just much to respond to since the post was long. Sorry about that. ...
