Even if the original movie wasn't exactly like the book I still think Gene Wilder did great as Willy Wonka. This new Burton thing looks a lot more like the first movie than I was expecting it too. Pee Wee's Big Adventure is probably Burton's best in that it has his touch on it without being relentle...

I've learned not to get excited about news of these small studios opening shop. It doesn't mean much until their first production is released. Go to the Fan Film message board at theforce.net and you'll see plenty of threads along the lines of, "Big news everyone! I'm going to make a film!" Then not...

hosting Wonderful World of Disney (which he totally didn't have to do) Yeah, I liked that he hosted WWoD when it had never occurred to any other president of the WDC since Walt himself that they could do such a thing. But why did he later have to allow his "Badness level" to go up? And my new nickn...

He's an enigma. That's for sure. People make him out to be all bad. I just think he's about 75% bad. It may very well be that nobody could get to the position he's attained to without being dirty, ruthless, and backstabbing. It seemed like Disney was just another kill for him to triumphantly stand u...

Don't worry. I'm not offended. I think he's a nice guy. At least he was when I went to the TLK reunion.

Allow me to congratulate ShyViolet for not mentioning Jeffrey Katzenberg in her last post. I think Save Disney may have bit off more than they could chew in the first place.

I dont think Dinosaur was made by the same people that are making Chicken Little
People don't care who the computer animation was outsourced to or not outsourced to. They still see both movies as being "Disney movies."

Disney doesn't want to say, "Chicken Little coming soon! From the creators of Dinosaur!"

Maybe it will never become a big box office hit but I have a feeling that people will be more open to seeing it as we actually get closer to Christmas.

I think Pixar is helped by the fact that people pretty much see their movies as "Disney" movies. New-fangled Disney movies but Disney movies nonetheless.

Well, I tried to be nice and mention all the different ways there are to submit news and even came right out and said, "Every time somebody has e-mailed about something I have posted it," (you know, "hint, hint") yet still get verbal abuse about a story I posted.

Sometimes when a particular news item doesn't get posted it doesn't have anything to do with us not wanting to post it. In addition to people posting news here, readers can also e-mail news to the general contact e-mail address here or can also e-mail news straight to a particular contributor (check...
