I have seen no official list yet, but it does seem we know what to expect. And I agree - all those specials in one set is already terrific.

Thanks for the YT link. I hadn't gotten around to looking for it yet. I'll skim through it. I love Peanuts, but love only carries one so far.

No word on extras, if any, yet. I may be hanging onto a lot of my earlier releases, as they often had some great stuff on them. Anything Paramount Home Video worked on is likely not available.

So--interesting. Vudu just added tons of vod to buy movies like mr bug goes to town and more classic christmas specials and they also added--some of the missing peanuts specials!

I love it when "obscure" titles start showing up in what used to be called syndicated packages for television because, nowadays, it’s more than likely a sudden interest in making these titles more visible leads to an eventual disc release.

Often new mixes of old soundtracks are made because a film is being restored…so many times Screen Archives have put an OST out a year or so before a new Blu or 4K of the same title, and it’s the same when certain films start turning up in obvious new packages of old titles.

Right now, I’ve been waiting for Carl Reiner/Dick Van Dyke's brilliant but depressing as heck drama The Comic (truly DVD's best performance, though it can be a hard and sad watch) to get a Blu after Sony's lacklustre DVD-R release, and lo! TPTV over here just ran a good-looking print two times this week out of the blue. Finally got to see the whole thing in one go and am now hopeful that Indicator, who have a Sony deal, are working on this for future release. DVD is proud of the film, so hopefully they’re on to him to participate.

Anyway, it could be the best that can be hoped for these extra Paramount Peanuts specials is a streaming/digital release, but one never knows. If the Warners set sells well enough, maybe Paramount will follow with a volume if their stuff… Still not enough for me to consider buying for that awful Red Truck, though! As Rand says, love can sometimes only carry one so far!

Seems like the last 90s-00s few (like Schulz’s extremely odd last bow with Pied Piper, and the strangely hip-deconstruction post-Melendez “Happiness is a Warm Blanket”) that seem to have slipped through some ownership cracks, for both the collection and streaming.

I remember a few random end-of-the-line specials, like Happy New Year CB, turning up on Prime, back when their selection was still random, but that one may have just been unauthorized.

Shame if Snoopy: The Musical isn't included, although I guess I could purchase that separately. It's one of the best specials with a terrific soundtrack, including what might be the best-known Peanuts song (and famously Jim Henson's favorite).

I actually don't own any of the Peanuts specials on disc. So this set would be an awesome buy for me depending on the price. Just wish it could be "complete."

IIRC, Snoopy:the Musical fizzled on Broadway, although it’s a favorite with local theater groups—
And as for “Best Known Peanuts Song That Vincent Guaraldi or Rod McKuen Didn’t Write”, ask someone to sing a few bars or “Just One Person”, and then a few bars of “Happiness Is”, and see what you get.
