VHS making a comeback! VHS rental opens up in California!

First records--now vhs! A new vhs rental store as opened up in California and now the peoples joker is getting a vhs release!

We have a modestly-sized VHS rental store in Burbank called "Be Kind Video" .. it's been operating for at least the past four years (I first noticed it just before the Covid lockdowns .. but it's definitely still there).

alas, I no longer have a VCR.

Even so, it's sad to drive by the many giant buildings sprinkled around L.A. that used to be Blockbuster Videos, Virgin Megastores, or Tower Recordses .. which are now pet supply shops, paint stores, or furniture stores.

All three were monumental names in the day. I could never pass a Virgin or Tower without something “falling” into my pockets!

Also, we have two video rental stores open in the city next to ours and both rent vhs with dvd and blu-ray, 4k and one also rents laserdisc and--records! More have opened up in America also! Video rentals are coming back!
