You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Indeed…absolutely one of the best Trek trailers. I played this over and over on VHS way back, particularly impressed with the use of graphics of the time…still holds up today. Funny to think Trek was only 25 years old back then…!

Who said non-franchise films are dead?

Sadly, this may just launch a feanchise. Coming 2024: Cocaine Cougar.

Hid the trailer and added the language warning in the post above — definitely not our usual kind of PG-friendly site content!

But, yes, this looks nuts. Cocaine Bear. Does a Snakes On A Plane in an exactly what it says on the tin way!

And at least this explains how James found the energy to dash out of Knoxville so fast…! ;)

Oops! The version I originally watched had the language edited! Must have copied the wrong link when I posted it here. Fixed now, and unhidden!

Hey, now Knoxville will be known for more than our wig store!

Gotta keep the franchise fresh by changing more than the animal. How about Heroin Hawk?

I wanted to do the same thing, actually, but couldn't think of a combo that "sang." But you nailed it. :)

Hey, at least you've still got the park from the World's Fair. :P

(Don't get me wrong, I miss World Expos. I get tired of explaining Epcot to people.)

And darn, Droo, you had to go and post the 8-Bit UY22 theme before I could get a chance!

Their wig store, James, *their* wig store. You don’t live there anymore… ;)

And both you guys have gone too literal on your follow-up. Cocaine Bear works so well because it’s just so out there and random. Cocaine Cougar and Heroin Hawk sound too cute because of the alliteration. They could be Bakshi cartoon characters.

Gotta go more random. And a bigger animal. "Smack Rhino". You’re welcome. ;)

"Inspired by a true story" - Yeah, looks like what happens when that "I can write a movie out of any newspaper headline" guy from "The Player" got a job at The Asylum.

Seeing the Universal name, I just had to go and look whose this was:
(checks IMDb)
Okay, I did not EXPECT Phil Lord & Chris Miller as producers, but on the whole, I'm not surprised. :?

Worlds Fair Park was one of my favorite places in Knoxville.

The amphitheater from the fair (which is directly under the Sunsphere) is a place I performed at it feels like a hundred times back in my singing and dancing days back in college.

They took the empty historic train station that was on the fairgrounds and turned it into a restaurant during the fair. After the fair it again sat empty for decades. About 12 years ago, they turned it into a magnet high school in Worlds Fair Park. Both my kids got to go there and it was extremely cool to have that as your campus.

Here's a pic of my daughter at her prom standing on the balcony of the school.

It does look like it’s about to open up, or take off at any moment though! Talk about a golden globe! How big is the sphere? I’m trying to picture how wide the column is to support however heavy it is. Is it hollow or can you go up there? Pretty neat thing to have standing out like that.

Yes you can go up. Now it's just to check out the view. The video Eric posted shows the restaurant that was in it during the worlds fair back in 1982. The column is big enough for two elevators and a staircase. The ball itself has 5 or 6 floors I believe.

Here are a few more pics I took over the years. (Especially like the photo of my kid at her graduation on the balcony of the school with the sunsphere framed in the year!)
