You don't say. ;)

I honestly don't know. Its a three way tie between Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora.

Probably Belle, even though she's not actually a "princess" in the film. But she's the one I identify with most.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Since I can choose only one, it has to be Ariel. I'm a 'sucker' for the feisty redheads, both in animation and in RL. But I'm actually quite fond of all the Princesses ..

-------

Though, I've gotta admit, I never really understood the inclusion of Mulan in the 'Princess' line .. she's a strong female protagonist, sure; and an admirable character .. but a 'Princess' ..? :?

Heck, why not include Maid Marion from Robin Hood? Granted, she was merely the 'ward' of King Richard .. but she's closer to the station of 'Princess' than Mulan! :P

For that matter, all six of Ariel's sisters are also actual Disney Princesses, as well! Though, they've recently (finally) gotten their own small line of toys & dolls in the Disney Stores.

-------

Oh, and ShyViolet .. Belle does 'technically' become a Princess when she marries the Prince at the end of Beauty and the Beast (though, there is never any mention in the film of a wedding; nor of the King or Queen .. funny, that).

It's a toss up for the classic blondes for me. Cinders and Aurora both have that certain something.

But she is a princess,she married a prince,like Cinderella.
Droosan-i think it's a heronie franchise, and altought she's not a princess she does fit the franchise.

Mulan. She's tough, independent, and actually has a brain. Belle comes in for a close second.

(Should Mulan count as a princess though?)

Mulan isn't a princess, though the legend is such in China that she's seen as close to royalty that there is, so in a way...

That whould never happen.
The Disney Princesses are heronies that believe in themselfs and their dreams, not some spolied little brat like Paris Hilltion.

Thanks Dan! :) Yeah I love books!! Way too much, some people think. :?

And thanks about the Belle avatar! :) I remember it.

Good point Drew! :)

I also think Maid Marion should be counted. She is definitely a princess. (and her movements modeled after Snow White, so how could she not be? :P)

I think Meg just meant that it would be cool to approach the story from a different angle is all. Also, in a way that was kind of done in Shrek the Third, with the princesses who fight with Fiona--although they weren't exactly the "heroines." :?

One thing I'd love is if instead of being "spunky" our "outspoken" (how original!) the princess/heroine could actually be quiet, demure and unsure of herself for a change. (and learn to have confidence) It would just be an interesting change. But then I guess you'd get a bunch of women's groups saying how Disney is sexist, blah blah blah..... :P
