I've always loved "The Marathon" short. Simple, but very touching.

Despite the fact it has a giant THE MARATHON title in the middle of the title page, I never knew what this short was called and what it actually was (it showed here on Channel Four in an animation documentary block years ago), so it was great to see it again. I’d love to be able to see that 1964 Uncle Walt film mentioned; I’ve only ever heard about that…

Everyone seen this yet? It's making the rounds this week. It melted my eyeballs - kinda in a good way. Feelin' groovy!

Well that happened! Now I have "feelin' groovy!" in my head and will be going around saying that in Liberace's "deep" voice at the end all day! What a bright and gay way to start a sunny June morning! 🌞

Well, that's going to disappoint How It Should Have Ended, seeing as the whole channel was FOUNDED on that one lame joke that the author already shot down forty years earlier...
(I mean, "Shut up" is a good answer, but I was expecting something more along the lines of, the Eagles don't work for anybody, they only owed Gandalf a favor from way back.)

There's also the famous letter from the Letters of JRRT book where he responds to a fanboy script (sent to him by Forrest J. Ackerman as the fan's "agent"), where, just from Tolkien's criticism, we hear the most ridiculous fan-fiction ever written.
Like the fan's idea to have the Fellowship set off on the Nazgul's own winged dragons to save time, fresh out of Rivendell..."Nine walkers, and they immediately go up in the air?"

So I only just found out that this exists...

Pretty amazing...especially since at first I assumed it was just Tim Allen doing an impression. But nope. The real deal. :D

Yep, amazing indeed. It plays during the credits of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins.

It never crossed my mind how close Allen and The Shat sound alike! I don’t remember that being on the end of the Buzz cartoon film, but then again maybe I never made it to the end: it's one of the rare DVDs that I actually returned just for being so awful!

At this point, I'm going to ask the obvious question of whether you've ever seen Galaxy Quest...
