A fun Mary Poppins re-mix..! Each and every note 're-purposed' from the film's original soundtrack. :o

This has gone uber viral over the past 5 days, so I felt it deserved a posting.

I can't tell if this is brilliant or idiotic. Maybe both?

Nah. I'm going with brilliant.
I love all things cinema, from silent movies to world cinema to animated cinema to big blockbusters to documentaries and everything in between!

"The dog goes woof, the cat goes meow...."
That's funny, I used to have a See 'N Say that said the same thing. :)

(And actually, foxes have a high-pitched bark, but we'll give him the artistic license.)

Yes, that is brilliant.

If only the internet was around when I was in my late teens/early twenties: myself and a couple of friends used to make stuff up like that all the time. Seriously, exactly like that. I don't know what that says about me though! I guess we just had to get the creativity out somehow! ;)

Here's a new - and pretty good! - student film about Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). It's a nice peek at what we might expect from Pixar's and Guillermo del Toro's movies about the holiday.

That student clip is amazing! And really beautiful.

Everyone's probably already seen it, but -

Here's an elaborate, very nicely-done 'fan-made' multi-player side-scrolling video game -- featuring He-Man and the Masters of the Universe..!

A fully-playable version of the game is available via the creator's YouTube page (you may have to click "see more" beneath the video's description to reveal the download links).

The best thing I've seen all week? Quite possibly.

Not sure about this one, but I'll try it--
Japanese pop star Hatsune Miku demonstrates how to dance to one of her Playstation-game songs while holding a PS Vita, (with her usual levels of inhumanly winsome cuteness):

(Granted, it's not easy to get Miku to do a commercial...Usually ends up taking a dozen takes just get one shot: )

Here's a couple of very well done Flash video websites Flash videos I came across years ago. :)

Stone Trek
The Flintstones meets Star Trek (with a bit of Star Wars mixed in too). Unfortunately the person making them stopped, so the later "episodes" are only ideas rather than video clips.

Star Wars Spoofs
Parodies of Star Wars scenes - click on various areas of the title image.

This commercial for an energy drink is not wholly 'original' -- the buttered cat paradox has been around for at least 20 years -- but it's the most amusing depiction of the concept that I've yet seen..!

Kids react to very old computers (late 70s/early80s) :)

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
