Funny…I was just last night pondering John Lasseter and how happy he could really be over at Apple, where his films don’t get the recognition and exposure he may wish. And is this more "proof" that Apple are sweeping the ranks of their partner deals so as to acquire a bigger, more established company…(that also might not want Lasseter hanging around)…?

Why is everyone so hard on furries? It's not like they're bad people, and anthropomorphized animals have been around in animation since the beginning.

Americans always deny that the American Animation Oligopoly has made bad animated movies, but it's evident that they did. DreamWorks has Boss Baby, Ruby Gillman, and Spirit Untamed.

I feel like that America has no great writers or artists anymore. Everything has to be sanitized, because they believe that children should not have great stories.

I'm not sure I'd even cite those as bad films. There are plenty of bad American animated films, though. Not sure who's ever denied it.

The great artists and writers exist. It's the executives who are scared to offend anyone.

Yeah, whatever happened to the old Katzenberg glory-days of "Animation is dead, because nobody went to see Ruby Gillman!"?

Kind of a shame they’re fighting DALL-E technology on a Pixar front, no? Only one letter out…! ;)

Well, and as Disney and Pixar are finding, those brands are also not enough, it seems these days, to sell a film.

Meledandri is being modest. Profit-wise, and often even with straight grosses, Illumination has been killing Disney and Pixar at times.
