So...was this cancled for good??
I heard it was because they had story problems. Too bad, it seemed like a really cute idea.

No, it's still on, in the background.
Park has said that it could come back...it's not totally dead.

It's funny how movies can come back from the dead.

I'm just curious--why exactly DID this movie get put on hold? Hasn't it been on the back burner for five years now?
I wonder if the Aardman fire burned a lot of their props for that film....

I think there were story problems or something.

Story.
Voices had been recorded and the reel was put together with the storyboards, and it was felt it just wasn't working out.
Nick Park says it's not completely dead, so maybe they'll go back to it after Flushed Away...?

Speaking of "Flushed Away", is it gonna be stop-motion?

No, Flushed Away will use computer animation that resembles stop-motion.

That wasn't a joke. I was 100% - okay, 98% - serious.

I know you were being serious.
I was just hoping for stop-motion, that's all.
I love CGI, but a little "Old school" doesn't hurt.

You know what's something to think about, though? Aardman has defined itself as a leader in animation. Its films are highly acclaimed and award-winning. Furthermore, audiences seem to enjoy such movies as Chicken Run and Curse of the Were-Rabbit , lending the films with considerable legs at the box office. In fact, it is very likely that much of the marketing for Flushed Away will link the film to Aardman's past popular successes.
So here's the question: If Flushed Away is a hit, grossing over $100 million, will Aardman's name and quality be hailed as the reason of the film's success, or Aardman's switch to CGI? Likewise, what will be said if the film bombs?

That's food for thought.
Nevertheless, I hope that W&G never go CGI.
