Yes, and I agree with you, but it is designated as a "live-action" feature because it was "shot" on a soundstage (or more precisely a "capture volume") with VR "cameras" using on-set style methods, and rendered photorealistically. It’s basically a studio designated label to differentiate it from the *actual* animated original, but most, despite not totally agreeing with it, accept it as being "the live-action" version.

Just as the difference came between motion-capture films, Frozen II was a tradigitally-animated keyframe film, which is the biggest difference between how these things are generally described and assigned, just to retain *some* sort of balance and clear distinction between them.

Polar express used real actors also with its animation. Still a cartoon. Heck disney used real live dancers for the classic disney animation in front of the animaters and mimicked them.

Still a cartoon.

Yes, but both of those examples only use human movement as a reference or basis for an animated performance. The mo-cap films were also highly stylised…no one would ever mistake them for "live-action". And once live-action performance had been filmed, camera positions and editing were chosen long after the fact.

I don't want to get into defending Disney on this, because *I agree with you*, but I’m just pointing out that TLK was made with VR technology that allowed them to frame and "film" the movie in a virtual space, in a live action method, hence why it’s referred to as live-action, as well as it obviously being part of the live-action remake series that we have also already suggested is pointless because so many of those, too, have been animated and, in some cases of scenes, fully animated. But those are designated live-action too!

So leaked art piece claiming to be for mario 2 was leaked a few days before mario 2 was confirmed and may passed it as fake. And nintendo had it took down confirming it was real. Good job there nintendo.

The art had mario, luigi and toad in robes in a desert city. Now what princess do we know lives in a desert city? Yup daisy.

Now we get deleted scenes from movie 1 that has--daisy! A flashback to high school shows daisy is peaches friend and a teen bowser went to school and was rejected by peach leading to his obsession to her! Toadette, birdo and mouser where there also.

Another deleted art showed more showed up to help mario in the battle before new york with daisy showing up as backup on the wiggler from before in the movie with toadette, toadsworth, the ice kingdom penguins and birdo against even more of bowsers bad guys while the mario vs bowser fight moved to earth.

All cut from the movie! Makes you wonder if any of this will make its way into part 2 as the leaked art teases daisy.
