Ha, I thought the exact same thing, too! :P

Although, I remember reading somewhere, that Spider-Pig had a scene at the end, but it got cut out and its gonna end up on the DVD. Dunno if it was true, we'll just have to wait and see. I could easily picture it being what you said though, Meg!

But if it's just for the movie...then, what!?

It's just changing one word in the regular Spider-Man theme...

Well, technically they also made up the line: "Can he swing/from a web/no he can't/he's a pig!"

 :P

Nice that they're leading off the end of the movie. I wonder if the episode will continue the rebuilding and then run as normal from the following week?

Darn...there's that Spider-Pig thing again. They're really picked up on that as an audience favorite. It was funny, but I still don't get the overpraising this little bit of the film is getting.

Just shows how maybe average the rest of it was? ;)

Who does? Most trailers and tv spots showed it, so before you saw the movie, you knew about spider-pig.
Then in the movie itself, they included that whole chorus version.
Its a sing along, a very simple tune that sticks with ya.

Nope, just the opening sequence. It's a shame, that would have been interesting.

This is why I didn't say what the couch gag was earlier, as to not spoil the surprise. By which, I mean Plopper!! Yay! I love how Homer said "my summer love". So cute!

I hope Plopper, along with Collin, make cameos when the real 19th season starts. (The latter is, I think. The former I'm just hoping for!)

Ha! :) That's so adorable.

Yeah, I love Colin. I love how he wrote the song for Lisa. (BTW did anyone notice that those notes were also a musical motif throughout the film?)

Lisa: Is your father--
Colin: He's not Bono!

I probably did, but I vaguely remember. It was a real sweet scene, though.

Btw, what does everyone think of the early cover art for the Simpsons Movie DVD? I like it, but its a little bland. But hey, at least it has Plopper. ;)

"the features sound fun... until they release the 2-disc Ultra Edition next March."

...with a better cover.

Seriously, now I'm actually starting to hate the pig thing. They really need to put that on the cover?

As one wag puts it:

"Fox will do a 2-Disc collector's edition within the next 12 months. Then it will be re-released for a third time in steelbook... then a fourth time with a holofoil cover... then maybe a fifth time in an unrated cut which features the extended version of the Spider-Pig song which has become ridiculously popular and is probably a sign of the looming apocalypse."

I think having Plopper on the cover is ok, but having him on the spine is overkill.

Your two quotes are so true, though.

The Plopper's picture in the cover is a sticker. Plopper will not be on the cover, too bad. :?

I'd like better the roof poster for the cover of the DVD.

Oh, is it a sticker? Heh, thanks for the correction. By roof poster, do you mean this one?:

Yeah, I like this one more, too.

Btw, welcome, K3vin! I love your "24 Minutes"/Bart avatar. :)

Welcome to the boards K3vin.

I quite like the current cover art, except for Spider Pig.
I don't dispise Plopper like Ben does but having him on the cover like that is a little too much.
Btw, Spider Pig might be a sticker on the front but he's still permanenty featured on the spine.

Which is fine by me. :) With all the Simpson season sets already depicting the whole family, having Plopper on the movies DVD spine will make it stick out more.
