P.S. -- It goes without saying that I LIKE decent extras on DVDs as much as the next hard-core collector, but honestly what's the point of getting a DVD is the MAIN FEATURE isn't any good?

I got a couple of movies early on in collecting DVDs just for extras like obscure animated shorts not already released in boxed collections, but I'm out of that business unless the main feature happens to be good, too.

Check out Silent Star Wars on the same site...fuuuuunneeeeeeeee! Smile
Saw it!!!! ROFL!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

BTW, my fave "update to the prequels" skit was the Jedi one. :P "Don't believe any of that "memories, feelings" BS, mummy kicked the bucket when you were minutes old. The only cuddling either of you ever got was from a medical droid."

Luke: "What did my mother die of?"
Obi-Wan:"I believe the official diagnosis was 'broken heart.' "

<SIGH>

Finally got done mastering a DVD of the recent Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed special.

I did this thing THREE times. Thank goodness I only did image files and not an actual burn yet! I'm not that crazy to create cupholders yet.

The final trial image file is something I can definitely live with.

No commercials, video quality EQUAL to my TV on the best cable-broadcast days, and excellent sound.

I can't quibble with the breaks... I cut as much of the commercial interruptions as I could out of it and it comes pretty darn-near perfect. I think I've gotten a handle on how to use my MPEG video editor now.

MPEG Streamclip will never be as goody as a non-lossy editor, but at least I don't have to convert video back-and-forth to prep it for DVD! Now, that's crazy, folks, if you understand how huge decompressed files can get.

Someone sent this to me, not sure if anyone posted this here before.

This is a direct link, so it will open up a new window as it loads: a QuickTime movie for the Star Wars Cell Phone advert - very funny!

You guys know that's not really a cigarette, right? ;)

I guess even using Star Wars characters didn't catch the message on... :(

They should have used a wookie, screaming at the screen to stop smoking.
Now that would have been far more effective then a golden butler and a beeping trashcan. :wink:
