It's funny...when he puts on that hat...he's still not Harrison Ford...he's Indiana Jones! :)

Steve must be pretty worried about getting burnt on the back of his neck to wear that hat! :P

Good old Steve doing his bit for the fans. :)

A bit cheap, though...what, they couldn't edit something more coherent together?

I want a good ol' weekly production diary like there was back in the day with King Kong. I wonder what George was doing that day. Anything useful?

As I said in the movie links thread:
Ben wrote:Uh-oh...not so much Indiana Jones here and more normal, bored looking Harrison Ford...

With all the talk of World War II sequences and that awesome pic of Indy released last week, I was secretly hoping that the whole thing was a ruse and that they'd found a way to de-age Indy and basically set the thing in the 1930s again and were hoodwinking us the whole time (still think we're going to see some sequences like that).

But this new pic shows a fairly bored looking Indy - Shia looks more the part (a new franchise?) and more of the 50s rebel. That blue car in the background confirms the 1950s setting for good, and...it's too bright? Not enough Jones looking?

After watching Raiders again last night on the big screen, I was reminded that, even after over 25 years, this new one still has a LOT to live up to.

Yeah, me neither...
Oh well, let's just wait and see how that scene turns out in the movie.

He just looks so wrong with white hair.

They could have gone with brown and hints of grey. He just looks so damned good in the role again that it's the hair that screams Harrison Ford when the rest of him says Indiana Jones.

He otherwise just looks too old to be running around in that getup. Anyhoo, they've seemingly made the mistake that that is Indy's "costume" rather than just an outfit he wears.

It's just a little "confused" at this point...something that I hope the resulting film makes work appropriately.

To be honest, I'm starting to digg the white hair.
The costume...I get your point but what would you say if we got an Indy movie without the outfit what so ever, that would be just plain weird.

But would a grown man of 55+ or whatever age he's playing here, run about in the same young man's getup?

Even in the first half of Last Crusade, he's wearing a suit or disguise. It's usually more the situation that places him into those clothes (he's all dressed up at the Palace in Temple Of Doom, before he heads into the secret tunnel and slowly has his clothes ripped, etc).

If they cover it with some joke, some good reason, then fine. But I hope we don't just get a "hey, I gotta go sort this out..." and next scene he just happens to be wearing "The Indiana Jones Superhero Costume" like it's something he has to put on to do daring do!
