Three words:

Great find Dan! :D

Apparently, there was another character planned for the film: (“competition” for Roxanne)

Storyboard samples:

Looks like they were originally going to be attacked by a bear instead of Bigfoot. Pretty neat!

It’s official: A Goofy Movie is now looked on by Disney as being the (so far) only DisneyToon movie worthy of feature animation level treatment!

So it’s not exactly been folded into the official lineup, but this is lovely for fans. Hopefully we get an actual 4K disc, as this is a lot of work and expense if it’s just destined for D+:

It's a fan restoration, not an official restoration from Disney.

Yeah, I did wonder that. Interesting that they did seem to have access to production materials and Kevin Lima, though…

Love the split-screen comparisons. What a difference!

Digital Billy mentioned this and also thinks it's an official release. If only!

That’s where I saw this, and took him at his word. Shame it’s not official, or that they are — or even can — offering this to watch! :?

Amazing that their source was a pan-and-scan VHS! ;)
