Yeah, agreed that this was the best part of the movie. I was actually concerned for them during that moment.

You know, had Scrat not been back at the ice wall chasing his nut I wish they could've joined in and had their miniscule weight throw everything off ballance just enough to nearly kill them then save them. Or perhaps force Scrat to choose between saving his nut or saving the others.

There was an Ice Age reference in the recent South Park ep: "Cold Age." (a poster in the Fox Studios)

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown on DVD

Post by PixarVixen » July 28th, 2006, 11:01 pm

I saw on Wal-Mart's website that Ice Age 2 will be released on DVD on November 21st.

You have no idea how long I've been hunting for this date! :D

Specs:

$29.98.

1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen

Dolby Digital 5.1

Commentaries with director Carlos Saldanha, producer Lori Forte and the Production Team

All-new Scrat short "No Time For Nuts"

Three all–new "Crash & Eddie Stunts"

Crash and Eddie blooper

Introductions to the new characters

"Silly Sid & John Leguizamo" featurette

Storyboard to final shot comparisons

Lost Historical Films On The Ice Age Period: The Sloth "Nature's Lovable Lisper" (another new short)

Multiple set-top games

Looks good, like the packed "Robots" disc. Some have mentioned a double dip on this, but I think this will be it until Blu-Ray or whenever "Ice Age 3" hits theaters.

Nice. Wasn't it supposed to play with the Halloween ep, though? (I wouldn't know because I always fast-foward through the commercails.)

To answer the question, nope it didn't play during the THOH special. So you didn't miss anything Meg ;)

But it is this Sunday! In two days! And I'm so gonna be there (as if I wasn't :))

Hope its a longer trailer, unlike the previous one. The suspence is just killing me :P

The opening few seconds do very well at aping the glut of cutesy animal pictures we've gotten this year and will continue to get.

Not that there's anything wrong with those films, but this looks like it could be a lot of fun, and a big, widescreen epic to boot!

It was a better preview! :)

Is it wrong to like the preview that came before it? The rabbit looked kinda cute ;)

Anyway, it didn't reveal to much. Just Homer trying to save his family, but from what? And we see Homer getting hurt many times, how original

The tractor, or whatever he was driving looked very CGish when he was riding it down, no? Nice their incorprating CG :P

Next preview, pronto!
