While here on AN, we go with the general default that whatever "insight" Jim Hill has, he's usually talking out of his, er...uh.....hat. :P

Real-world precedents have it that an overly nervous Disney usually downplays, death-schedules or otherwise kid-gloves the promotions on "troubled" movies that had to be fixed, rewritten or completely re-directed in mid-production, just in case.

But I have a feeling they are planning huge promotion without what he said (Enchanted and Bolt had trailers a few months they got released,Princess And The Frog got a teaser and a website a year before it will be released).

I can easily believe that image is actually a screen shot of the actual animation. Her eyes seem freaky huge in that picture, or is that just me? (and I love anime :P)

Well, that's because to them, it's one of their "good" films that had a happy, untroubled childhood, and has no problem whatsoever with Being What It Is...See how it works? :)

But it looks like a concept art, also her dress is white in this picture and in the teaser it's blue.

Aladdin didn't change that much. Sure, they cut the mother and altered Jasmine's personality a bit, but it's basically the same story. With Bolt, the entire looik and feel of American Dog was thrown out, and a new tone built up around the very bare bones of the original concept.

They also threw out his three friends and a bunch of already written songs.

that screen shot is from a really funny sequence in the film -
Some of the best animation ever by Mark Henn.
It's looking really beautiful!

Why not much? there was also another genie and Genie had his own subplot,Aladdin was really different.
What about Beauty And The Beast? (From what I know the original version was a lot like the original fairy tale and that's why it was cut).
Ben wrote:altered Jasmine's personality a bit,
A bit? they turned her from a spoiled brat (That song was awful, thought it's sorta funny) to a great character she is,I"m glad his mother was cut and I don't think we need another Genie.
The Princess And The Frog didn't changed too? (The name and Tiana's job and name,or it's just little changes).

On the subject of the recently released still from The Princess And The Frog, I really like the frog and the color scheme (the use of purple is impressive, as that color can be very obnoxious), although Tiana looks very awkward. Stiff pose and a bit of a strange expression on her, I think. Everything else looks great though!
