An African feature could work very well. One By One was very different to The Lion King, which was essentially "Westernized Africa" by way of British rock songs and a blend of various voices.

A "pure" African story, with music rooted firmly from that area and starring humans, could be something pretty darn special.

That's exactly how I feel. :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

On that "Anibator" angry guy's blog (which I won't link to since last time I did that it was taken off and replaced with porn :?) he addresses that new "SeeJane" group that Cartoon Brew mentioned, and I thought he made an interesting point about the LACK of variety with too many female characters who are all gutsy and spunky, and all look the same! :(

Here's a pic he did which illustrated his point very well. :)

At least with Frog Princess, there will be a new kind of female heroine!

Is that actual Frog Princess publicity?

Seems the de rigor standard is spikey and/or red hair!

Someone started a petition to get Alan Menken back!! :)

http://www.petitiononline.com/the_frog/petition.html

Anyway, I'm not going to debate the whole Menken/Newman thing anymore--I just thought it was interesting that someone actually started a petition about this. (I found it on IMDB of course )

Oh yeah, petitions--those always work. :? But I wish them well....

?

Because you think that Menken and Lasseter are angry at each other?
Internal sources say Lasseter have cordial and friendly relations with Disney. Glen Keane says so. Maybe you need to stop taking Jim Hill's articles too seriously...

No not because of that, geez
Because I love Alan Menken, nothing more nothing less
I know it's not gonna change anything
Will you please lighten up Kinoo? I'm getting so sick of the lasseter discussion
