I did not watch Bolt. An it is my way of showing Disney Im not pleased with what is being done with all the let gos and firings under Robert Iger's leadership and team with what is happening at WDAS recentlly.

I dont have to say anymore on the subject, there will be A time for it, + I dont want to cause waves. so for now the case is close.

Other than that how is everyone doing here. I just joined up. my name is David M.

Just saw bolt and thought it was an excellent movie. :D Also, I loved the painterly look. It had a distinct look and feel to it. It Didn't look anything like pixars animation style, unlike meet the robinsons. My biggest fear when John lasseter took over production of this film was that it would become a pixar movie.

On a side note, I saw the new cars short. To be blunt, it sucked, just like the shorts that air on disney channel and toon disney. I was never really a huge fan of cars anyway, but I see no creativity in these shorts whatsoever.

Bolt: The Best CG Animated Movie So Far

Post by jcvaldez » December 24th, 2008, 2:54 pm

I recently saw Bolt again, but this time in Digital 3D and in my opinion it's the best made CG movie yet. My favorite for a long time was The Incredibles but Bolt has taken over my top spot.

Here's a look at the cover-art:

Image

Not bad, though I do hope the final version doesn't include the blue border; ala Sleeping Beauty's Platinum and the upcoming Pinocchio. It's a trend I'm not particularly liking.

But wait... Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy!? All three? That's surprising. I could see a digital copy being included, but a DVD too, on a non Platinum? (and Pixar, taking into account their announcement a week or so ago). That's going to be expensive, but I'm predicting they'll go the same route of WALL-E and offer different versions.

Can't wait regardless, since I never got to go see it in Theaters.

From multiple sources I have heard the same thing:

There will be a one-disc standard DVD, a 2-Disc DVD, and a Blu-ray. Three options in all.

DVD cover:

Disney covers are looking cheaper and cheaper - these bold borders suck!
Feature Animation Favorites:
  • Tekkonkinkreet, Watership Down, A Town Called Panic, Howl's Moving Castle, Rio 2096, Mind Game, Fantastic Planet

Yick, I agree.

This artwork doesn't even fit the story of the actual film.
