Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

Post by Movie-Man » April 21st, 2006, 2:51 pm

Did anyone hear about this? I heard this film is going to be a conclusion to the unresolved ending of Robotech and I guess it's going to be good and hopefully this will get my vote for the best animated film of 2006.

Let me guess, the people wouldn't like an action animated film while they go for the stupid idiot family friendly animated films?

Robotech is different, it's not like those films.

I actually like "Atlantis" and "Titan A.E.", but that's just my opinion.

Ok, now with that out of the way, let's talk about how this new installment of Robotech is doing.

I only saw The Macross Saga of Robotech and while I thought it was excellent and have, in fact, recommended it to people, I never plucked up the interest to see the rest of it (even though the remainder is only eight volumes). If I haven't seen beyond The Macross Saga, is The Shadow Chronicles going to make any sense to me?

Well The Shadow Chronicles takes place after the The New Generation saga of Robotech so I suggest you should see the rest of the series to catch up with what's going on.

Okay. It may not be anytime soon when I see it, but I'll see it all eventually.

Ok, good luck watching them besides I think there's time to watch the rest since Harmony Gold hasn't found a distributor yet.

Do you know if Harmony Gold is going to use the classic theme music? That music played by a real orchestra would be awesome. If it actually manages to get a wide release, I may go see this anyway, regardless.
