Ew, I don't really care for the character designs. This totally looks like it should be a DTV release.

The characters look like Balto's sidekicks, but just feel the squash and stretch...

Is it me, or did that trailer last for three days? I wouldn't put it at DTV level, but it seems to be going for the alternate Igor/Space Chimps position (Vanguard/Imagi kind of animation).

Talking of which... http://spacechimps2.com/index_large.html

I also am getting a Balto vibe. I don't know. This thing dosen't look too great. And is Justin Long in every thing now??

The animation reminded me of "Open Season" more than anything...although I did get a bit of a "Brother Bear" vibe, too.

But all of those jokes about mating are just going to scare parents off. Without this having a trusted name like Disney or DreamWorks behind it, I doubt it'll find success.

Also...was it my imagination...or was there something "off" about the way the characters interacted with each other? Like them not really looking like they're in the same place, but instead looking like they were "added" to the backgrounds. Um...am I making any sense here? ;)

Wellp. Everything about that trailer looked terrible. I really don't like the designs of the wolves for some reason.

I've finally managed to pinpoint the reason!

They're incredibly ugly.

OMG whippet, you figured it out. :D *give award* ;P

*edit* saw the new posters on the main news page.

Man are those characters terrible looking. >.< No offense to the character designers but I can't look at them. >.< It looks like a very strange Balto...

Gotta wonder who thought it was a good idea to give a wolf long human hair and mascara... The designers apparently can't tell the difference between chins and lips either.

Someone who thought wolves resembled Lassie?

Even Lassie would have trouble wearing mascara... :P

Even the secondary characters are horrendous. Not only do I feel like I have seen them before but its like someone demonized the originals and put them in this movie. Maybe the story won't be that bad?...

I'm a bit confused here. Is it the animation part that is bad ? Or is it the character design part ? Or rendering ? But actually there are even worst movies will be out in near future. So...

All of it. It looks so bad, I want to see it. Not really though. You know, it might actually be a good movie, ut the commercials did no convicing for me at all. I will pass.
