According to ScreenRant most of the film will be set in the 70s:

Sounds pretty cool, although be warned, Singer says that the whole time travel thing might change the continuity of the other films:

Five key moments in the X-Men 90s cartoon:

Sorry to repeat myself, but I would have chosen Till Death do us part as an important ep (first intro of Sinister)

I think it has the potential to be great, though I'm a little cautious about some of the talent behind it. Singer hasn't impressed since X2, but then again maybe an X-Men film will put him back on track. I'm more concerned about Simon Kinberg being credited as the sole screenwriter while Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman are only credited for the story. I thought the filmmakers were trying to fix the mistakes of The Last Stand, and here they are using one of its writers. Which I guess would be acceptable if Kinberg had written at least one decent screenplay (he was a producer on First Class, not a writer).

A sequel to The Wolverine has also been announced, so the X-ers are going nowhere yet (or, at least, Hugh Jackman). There's also some more talk about X-Men Origins and doing a Storm movie...and if X-Days does what it's supposed to then look for a third movie in that continuum, although the word is that Singer then wants to continue the linear post-The Wolverine story thread (so maybe that film's sequel will bridge to a new X-movie...?)...

Singer announced with a heavy heart that Rogue is being cut from the final film. He explains that the sole sequence she's featured in was extraneous. It will likely be included on the blu ray/DVD (perhaps as part of an extended cut). He did inform Anna of the decision before making it public.
