Yeah, I figured this could be an exploration of the Spiderverse/multiverse kind of thing... which could also help Pete with his secret identity isue from the last film.

I think Doctor Strange is going to have a LOT to answer for. Seems the Spideyverse is going to get a lot more complicated soon...

Benedict is there to make sure Tom doesn't spill the beans about the plot. ;)

LOL!

Actually, I had earlier predicted that the Dr. Strange sequel would be where Spidey would guest-star. That could still happen, but I am glad to see these two characters together wherever it happens. Great news!

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in talks to appear. That would be all kinds of awesome.

While all kinds of awesome, this is starting to just feel like a way to validate previous Marvel films. How long before we hear Hugh Jackman will reprise Wolverine for some kind of crossover in Avengers 5...?

I am so on board. Sounds fun!

....but so similar to what DC is doing with their Flash film.

Tobey and Andrew have reportedly signed on and will be featured in the third act. Still think it sounds cool.

Well, now, all we have to do is get Spidey and Doc Strange to meet The Flash's super-DC cast and the universe will explode!

Ie. enough time for the MCU vs. Fans "No, you LIKED Captain Marvel, admit it, why else would it have made all that money!" argument to calm down.
(Newly propelled by the "Ohh, that's how Shuri can become the 'new Black Panther'!" attempts to respond to fan-nagging after Chadwick Boseman.)

But then, if they could hold on to the Black Widow movie for ten years without knowing why, the "Cool, let's do a movie of that Endgame scene!" memo from two years ago is nothin'...
