You're right...I'm not reading the press. You obviously missed that I'm not a fan of the series, just taking a passing interest.

Yes, it's already been confirmed that Fox will pony up half the costs but that they have put a cap of $140mil on the tab.

You can say that again... I knew it wasn't going to be my cup of tea, but gosh what a turd of a film. The only consolation out of actually buying it - not renting - was I was able to obtain a Mickey coin. Horrible.

Of course this is without seeing the before Narnia's, but I doubt it would've helped much.

"The before Narnias"? You mean LTW&TW?

I wasn't a fan of that particularly, but it was a <I>much</I> better film than Caspian. Turd...I like that...made me laugh.

You haven't seen The Lion,The Witch And The Wardrobe,Daniel? if you haven't then you should really see it.
I know it's a bad adaptation for the book,They really twisted the characters and the story and other things like how everybody knew that Peter,Susan,Edmund and Lucy are coming back or that nobody exept Lucy believed in Aslan (Edmund,Susan and I"m pretty sure Caspian wanted to support her but were too busy) and insted of focusing on the characters and story they focused on the action so anybody who didn't read the book won't understand the movie,and someone who also haven't even seen The Lion,The Witch And The Wardrobe or don't know anything about Narnia won't understand anything.
But I didn't like the film maybe because I liked the book and I really like Narnia,and I thought I whould get this as memorabilia when Narnia was still Disney.

That was add on typo - I meant "the before Narnia" though that doesn't scan very good either, meh.

I might consider it, I know they give it on TV a lot. It's just hard after seeing Caspian, it makes me want to never acknowledge the franchise. The book probably is better, more often than not they are.

You should really see the other movie or read the books,Narnia is a great franchise,the movie might be better after you read the books.

The Prince Caspian 3-disc DVD is still so darn expensive! I managed to find the Incredible Hulk and Hellboy 2 3-discers for about 15 bucks each, but Prince Caspain is still $30-35!

Heck, I paid $20 for the Blade Runner 4-disc edition at a store that often overprices DVDs.

Maybe I'll wait for a used copy. After all, there is a store where I managed to find a like-new copy of The Prestige for $1.95.

Hey Dan...just a warning that Caspian is the weakest book too. Nothing happens in it and that is that. They were always going to have trouble jazzing the film up. Essentially, the Narnia books were Lewis' attempts to play on the same field as Tolkien - they were gentleman's club buddies and Lewis was envious of Tolkien's success with the Rings books. Though Lewis wrote more volumes they were basically light reading and very slim compared to Tolkien's doorstoppers and appendices.

That's an impressive trailer. I quite enjoyed Prince Caspian, I would say probably more than LWW. Mainly because the religious allegory (?) weren't as obvious so it felt like a new story not a re-interpretation of another story.

Have the re-written the story for Peter and Susan to be featured in the trailer. I imagine they are only in it for less than 5 minutes, but the last I heard was that the actors weren't required for this story. This gives me hope that if they do make the last book they'll do a slight re-writing of the end to make it better IMO.
