Disney wins lawsuit over Duke Caboom's likeness to Evel Knievel. Yeah, figured it would fail. Plus, Duke is Canadian. Waaaaay different.

But yeah... remember when 3 was the final one? You can only say goodbye so many times before you get sick of it.

Bob iger is desperate.
Not sure how good it'll be when it's obvious that Pixar is forced to do it.
I'm pretty much indifferent to all of the announcement, and I'm disgusted that the only reason he did it is to distract people from his announcement of laying off 7,000 employees. And it worked too.

Not for CNN. Their top story for a while today on their website was the Disney layoffs.

Re: Toy Story 4
TS4 already felt like a coda to the series rather than a continuation of a story that had already finished once Andy said goodbye.
And with Woody separated from the gang it’s going to feel all tenuous and convoluted to get them back together, and I wonder if Hanks would even be that interested, since he made it pretty clear in a few interviews he did that he felt 4 was it and that he just couldn’t keep mustering up that high energy needed to play the character all the time.
And what of Tim Allen and his WTF non-casting in Lightyear, which automatically would have been just that little bit much better with him voicing Buzz? Bet he won’t be an automatic yes either. Something tells me both Hanks and Allen — if they return — are going to get exceptionally unique pay deals for this.
The final-final Final Chapter. Until Part 6, when they introduce Leonard. Though that’s probably a bad idea, too…

Yeah, I’m sure deals were in place before the announcement was made (Iger isn’t that silly), but I expect they got very good deals to reprise their characters again. "One last time"…

Re: Toy Story 4
Even if you don't believe that TS4 existed for literally no other reason than Iger wanting something to announce in connection with the 20th anniversary and new park land--
This has the feeling of Iger wanting to show the new animation studios' malaise How We Used to Do It in the Old Days.
Which explains why we're also finally getting those Frozen and Zootopia sequels.
If it was previously in the works at Pixar, I'm sure the writers were mulling the idea of an APOLOGY for TS4...
