So we get Black Adam before Shazam 2, eh? Interesting… I'd better finally catch up on the first one…!

They kept promising Dwayne Johnson he'd get one, they just didn't know what form it would take--
It was supposed to come out as part of the "DCEU" before the first Shazam--because, see, it's all MCU-like and everything has to linearly progress--and then when it didn't, Suicide Squad 2 (the non-James Gunn version) was going to be the excuse for introducing the character.

...Well, at least his agents are now happy.

No. Black Adam was always tied to the standalone Shazam series.

With the delays now shazam 2 must fight avatar 2 and aquaman 2 must now fight haunted mansion and flash must now fight Indiana jones 5 and a marvel sony film back-to-back. In fact flash comes out same day as the marvel spider-verse spin-off film now! Good luck DC!

Aquaman 2 is the safest but the others may be in big trouble!

Third time in two years. Guess wb will just "ignore it and it goes away" play again.

Also the flash movie was announced when e3pisode 2 of the flash tv show aired and that show is now on season 9 and still no movie out!

Yikes!

It's like no one remembers Catwoman! That article, while containing a whole list of her films, misses it out entirely, like she’s not been a part of DC before. And it’s a "new" character created specifically for the movie? How is this not not going to end well…! ;)

It's nice that DC at least TRIES to reconcile their Saturday-morning embellishments, even though the Twins were created because 70's Saturday morning had to follow the lead of hit network TV, and "Donny & Marie" was getting top ratings at the time.
(Thus explaining their purple costumes, and the occasional use of "Spacey, Zan...Real spacey.")

This being HBOMax, however, Warner's basic Superfriends insecurities will kick in, and we'll likely get another "hip" goofy deconstruction, just like the last time we saw the Twins get their own gig on Cartoon Network...
