Latest Madagascar trailer

Post by AniMan » February 11th, 2005, 3:52 pm

I linked on to the latest Madagascar trailer and I continue to gain great interest in this film. All the clips I've seen thus far have been HILLARIOUS! I am particularly amused by the penguins: I enjoy their whole tough-guy, militaristic style. It's a hoot! The look is different from most other CG animated films in that it has a very illustrative, almost painterly quality to it. And those voices? Very inspired choices, indeed. I think it'll be Dreamworks second-biggest computer animated hit, right behind Shrek. I don't doubt it will be better than Shark Tale was or ever could have been. :D
Do. Or do not. There is no try.

:D Glad you think so, too! I haven't heard nearly enough hype and/or buzz about this movie. I hope they don't undersell it. It looks like one of the really good ones. The story sounds really clever, too.

I am also looking forward to this (which is suprising because i usually hate dreamworks animation). The penguins look like they will steal the show. I really like how the characters looks .

Say, um, is this trailer playing at "Pooh's Heffalump Movie"? Just asking.

MADAGASCAR thread

Why, oh why do I have a feeling that DreamWorks is going to let most of us down again...!

Could it be their "fantastic" track record of making films that AREN'T based on parodies headlined by celebrity name voices?

Here's the link to the bad news, folks!

Granted, these reviews are based on a rough cut of the movie, BUT films don't generally change that much from rough to finished cut...!

Thanks for the news, George.

For the record, I want to add to anyone that disagrees with the reviews that they do not express my opinion of the film. The last time I posted a somewhat-negative review of Robots, I received a number of e-mails expressing concern about the negativity. However, I am just reporting what I see and ask that you please do not "shoot the messenger". Thank you.

If I've set it once, I've said it a million times. I could care less what the reviews have to say.
I've liked Dreamworks' movies. And I'm looking forward to this one a lot.
