This isn't "buzz", that's for the classics--
This is "Rescuing the forgotten 00s and non-Frozen 10s films", so they have to stay true to the marketing.

Wha…?

The "forgotten film" that had something like six sequels and spin-offs, at least one of which is still current…!? ;)

They have an ongoing manga (second series stitch had) also that takes place during the "time jump" of the first episode of the anime. Stitch is warned he could go not just earth but anytime and even other realities.

He crashes in japan. We find out in stitch and ai that was not his first stop as turns out he crashes in china first and meets a girl named ai.

Now in the manga we find out he did go back in time after ai and does a lone wolf and cub spoof teaming up with a samurai. With that one time jump now stich can go anywhere, anytime and any reality disney wants him to before he meets yuni!

A forgotten film usually doesn't have an endless supply of merchandise being released almost 21 years later!

The one that Disney STILL thinks is a "flop", because it came out between Atlantis and Treasure Planet.
But at least the characters got a series.

Several, in fact, as well illustrated above. And flops don’t generate several series and multiple spin-offs. Or a live-action remake. Time to get over it!

L&S was a hit, and a recognisable one by Disney, since it came out. Hence why it got a two-disc SE DVD (delayed, yes, because they weren’t expecting the kind of sized hit it was…and were still sensitive about 9/11).

Out of all the post-Renaissance films, it’s the one bright spot that the company actually acknowledged and clearly continuously acknowledges, whatever your own skewed viewpoint is.

Stitch is loved in many parts of the world. Japan and china love stich. In fact many overseas disneylands have stitch shows for kids and stitch and angel have meet and greets. Stitch was added to japan parks enchanted tiki room. You can still find stitch merchandise in stores.

Stitch looks pretty freakyweird in that live clip, but that’s some awesome technology at play there. The Tiki animatronic also shows how amazingly fluid these things have gotten by this point, pretty amazing stuff. The Hong Kong character costumes? Not so much… ;)

And because Michael Eisner "couldn't figure out" why nobody bought the 2-disc Atlantis SE, and like Warner, blamed the audience--
Cancelling(/delaying) the 2-disc SEs of Lilo and Groove.

And Stitch obviously has a lot more attraction in Japan than sentimentality for Walt's Disneyland, so at least it's not another Tiki Room: Under New Management.

There was no “delay” of the two disc set for Groove, which was released before Atlantis even came to theaters.

But I guess something, something, Lilo and Stitch must have “bombed” because Eric has a weird vendetta against Chris Sanders for some reason.
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift--that is why it's called the present."

Yeah, the Groove comment had me scratching my head too. It came out right alongside the single disc movie only edition right on schedule.

Yeah, I actually have a gigantic Stitch pillow/plushie lol. Got him at Target (about $30, but it was worth it! Ha.).
:) :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
