Probably should've been a Disney+ original.

The more I think about it, a Woody's Roundup movie would've been more fun. We already had a Buzz movie and series. We could've finally gotten closure on that cliffhanger! ;)

Wonder who they will get to play Zurg... probably too meta if they got James Earl Jones. ;)

Chris Evans wrote:Working with Pixar is a dream come true. I’ve been a massive fan of their films since the very beginning. My team could barely contain their excitement when they told me that Pixar had a pitch for me. All they said was ‘Buzz Lightyear’. I didn’t know what that meant, since Tim Allen is Buzz Lightyear, and no one could ever touch his performance. I needed to know how this character was different and why this story was worth telling. I can say 2 things with absolute confidence:

1. I didn’t stop smiling through the ENTIRE pitch. Ear to ear.
2. Everyone can rest easy. And get very excited.

Trust me when I say that they REALLY know what they’re doing over there. This one is gonna special, and it doesn’t step on a single thing. I can’t even put my excitement into words. I smile every time I think about it. #LIGHTYEAR
That's a little reassuring.

I was skeptical at first, but I'm keeping the faith now.

I.......dunno: :?
Wandering off the original context of the character just to dive into cult fan-love centrism on the character is how we got "Finding Dory" in the first place.

I love that film/pilot! :D

The TV series... eh. The voice change was too distracting. Patrick Warburton was way too hammy. Made Buzz sound more sarcastic which made him come off like a jerk at times. Close, but missed the mark.

Teaser:

Buzz has hair and it's not a buzz cut!? It was ok for a teaser. Looks epic-y... although the David Bowie song helps. ;)
