Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I thought Season 1 was an absolute mess (with fun actors doing their thing, but conceptually beyond confused), so I'm not anxious to head back to Lokiland... but I'll give it a shot. Sounds like it's worth the trip.

New this week:
:
The Santa Clauses – Episode 4 (Season 2)
Incredible Animal Journeys
The Naughty Nine
Christmas with Walt Disney
:
A Haunting In Venice
Love In Fairhope
Faraway Downs
:
The Great Christmas Light Fight

Finally something to be exited about! "Christmas with Walt Disney" is a documentary that was made specifically for the Disney Family Museum. The film intertwines cartoon sequences with some of Walt's home movies on how he celebrated the holidays. Unfortunately it's a US only addition for the moment. Hopefully that changes!

Ooh, but we do get Faraway Downs here at least! Jen will make sure that’s next week's evenings of viewing lined up, then!

Oo, is "Christmas with Walt Disney" another rare 50s-60s special from the Archive, or just D+'s own thrown-together cash-in?
I dare not hope they finally dug up Walt's Peter Pan Christmas-special that never appeared on the discs like the Alice special did.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
Nope Eric; what we’re waiting for is The Walt Disney Christmas Show, announced for the Platinum Pan and then never appearing…anywhere.
This new one looks to be a collection of Christmas clips with some footage of Walt cut in, thought not sure what the point is!

Film came out in 2009 and is directed by Don Hahn. As I said, it was created for the Disney Family Museum to be shown seasonally.

Hulu added to Disney+, at least for me. Somewhere I heard it might just be rolled out gradually as a beta test.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
That’s exactly how Star looks over here. I still think they will rebrand one or the other eventually. It just doesn’t make sense to keep creating two marketing campaigns, with posters and trailers featuring the alternate Hulu and Star logos, once everything is consolidated.
Even on Star — which came from a pre-existing international brand despite the sound of it as a typical Disney name — the Hulu logo does keep popping up, so maybe it’ll go that way, though internationally I would say Star is more known. That said, here in the UK we never had either until recently, so it wouldn’t bother me either way, but interesting to see them implementing Hulu in the US the same way Star is elsewhere.
Perhaps makes more sense to lose Star and go with Hulu, but they should at least balance up that page and give Disney a golden tone to help it stand out more. With the bright green of Hulu drawing most attention, the Disney on Disney+ gets even more swamped…again.

Have it also. Nice to see tons of anime added. Ranma, akira, food wars and naruto on disney plus! We have hubs in hulu for wb, cartoon network, adult swim, paramount and nickelodeon also! Crazy to watch Smallville or rugrats on disney plus.
What's on disney plus does a fast tour. He says we have more hubs / folders than star does.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
That is pretty awesome. No, we def don’t have those "exterior" hubs. I wonder how they work that, since it appears to cross with various other streamers, like Warners and Paramount. As you can tell from his excited reaction, we simply don’t have those, just essentially the Hulu stuff under Star. Like he says, it’s a "supercharged Star hub"!
So he’s a Brit guy looking at this from the UK for the US? How does he do that? VPNs, I suppose? I wonder what would happen if he tried to play one of those licensed content streams. Think it would work or do you need a WB, Paramount, etc, sub for it to recognise and allow payback for those items? Do other streamers also "bundle" in other studios' content? It is kind of crazy you can watch Smallville or Trolls on D+!
