Rudolph in HD

Post by James » November 30th, 2005, 8:37 pm

Wow! What a difference! Colors are more vibrant. Clarity is amazing - you can see every strand of hair/fur on Rudolph and his family's body. Looks amazing! And the new transfer is a big part of it - less dirt and other imperfections (other than normal grain).

What about the Abominable Snowman? Can you see every hair on his body too? :D

We taped it last night. Unfortunately, we taped it on EP by mistake! Dagnabbit!

How's that bad? It's extended play it gives you more room on the tape instead of standard play SP.

Yes but it detracts from the quality of SP

Here's a better suggestion just go out and buy it... that way you wont have commercial interruptions and you'll have the best quality.

If you were taping it you didn't see it in HD. And if you go out and buy it you're not getting the best quality.

Well you get better quality buying it than taping it on TV.

Best bet is to catch another broadcast, or wait until its issued on HD disc! ;)

I think CBS is re-airing it in a week or two. If you have an HD-DVR you could record it but then it's taking up room on your hard drive.

Just buy the DVD if you want it! The show has aired for 41 years. You can catch it in HD for the next 41 years to come!

Uh, I've taped "Rudolph" every year for five, no, six straight Christmas seasons. And I tape the ads. It's become a weird holiday tradition.
