Now, us smug disc fans wait to see whether Rudolph and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" will end up as the latest hostages in the Streaming Wars...

Today marks the first day of the free period dealy on Apple TV. Looks like you do need an Apple ID to watch if you don't already have one. Only Great Pumpkin, no Election special.
Have an intuition that AppleTV only took the Peanuts specials hostage in the first place as an attempt to brand-promote their network-exclusive "Snoopy in Space" series.
Another reason why nobody watches AppleTV Originals, and why we've got to slap new streaming services down before they reproduce.

Frosty and Santa Claus both aired last night.
Rudolph will air on Tuesday.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" airs tomorrow on PBS. Gonna be weird not to see "Christmas Tales" afterwards, and more sad not to see "I Want a Dog for Christmas". Thank goodness I have them on disc.

Oh, good. I was hoping he wouldn't.
(Anyone wanna unpack that inscrutably veiled attempt at a knee-jerk diss, folks? This one's got me stumped.)

No "dissing", just a pre-empt for anyone else who might make the obvious remark.
