Welcome!

I think we had a thread like this open somewhere where we were discussing the merit of Disney shows old and new.

See...I like the really old stuff, like DuckTales, Gummi Bears, Wuzzles...back when DisneyTV was just starting out and Feature Animation were well involved.

The later shows lacked quality, though the new stuff of the past two/three years has started to appeal to me again though I still feel most animated TV of today is trying to be too quick and fast without any substance.

DuckTales, Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers, House of Mouse and Gummi Bears are easily the way forward.

Duck Tales and Tale Spin. :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

I enjoy (and would like to have complete on dvd) most of the series that comprise the "golden age" of Disney TV animation which, in my opinion, includes everything from Wuzzles through Mighty Ducks. Their animated series started to show a noticible decline in quality after that (with Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and The Legend of Tarzan being exceptions) and aside from the odd episode of Lilo & Stitch now and then their current stuff just doesn't appeal to me at all. I'd say that Ducktales and Gummi Bears are my favorites and The Little Mermaid and Aladdin are my least favorite from the golden age. It might be nice to have a good boxset release of The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, but I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. Oh well.

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, could've been one of my favorite shows. However, I disliked Patrick's redemption of Buzz. I mean, it didn't even sound like Buzz anymore, it was such a phony voice, and at times, made him sound rude or stuck up.

Other than that, the show was good. I really liked Booster, and the robot (I forget his name) :P

Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck... I grew up on that stuff. And what I've seen of Gargoyles looks amazing. Someday I'll have to find the first season DVD online.

The Disney Afternoon line up. With the exception of Gargoyles which I never watched for some reason.

Ducktales
Tailspin
Rescue Rangers
Darkwing Duck
Bonkers

<3

edit: Special mention to Kim Possible for being great and also being pretty much the only watchable disney channel show nowadays. I'm so glad they are getting a fourth season.

DuckTales all the way for me, with Wuzzles a close second.

Don't know why, but I kind of "missed" Gargoyles too, but I love Kim, from the "new breed" of shows. :)
