Still think the press should've been allowed to see it?

Well, yes. Probably. And hopefully they would have respected the surprise. Actually, it wasn’t *too* much of a "shock", because someone has been doing a bit of publicity — or at least keeps getting asked what they think about Jodie's time coming to an end — so it didn’t feel completely out if the blue. Wasn’t expecting a couple of other things, though, although again we do usually get all those kind of callbacks in this big special episodes. It was certainly one of the better stories for her, though, and I thought she went off in a fairly lovely way. Now to see what happens between now and the next-next Doctor… ;)

Wasn't much of a shock for me either, but you know I get around! Shame the clothes had to change too.

A new deal has been finalized. Future episodes will continue to premiere on BBC for the UK and Disney+ worldwide. That explains why they didn't air the teaser on BBC America.

Caught it online. BBC were quick to put it and the regeneration up. Kinda iffy on the news. I'm far more likely to tune if it's on the telly. Of course they hooked me for now so we'll see.

I know the new logo is suppose to be a throwback, but I can't help thinking "Paw Patrol".

Didn’t even realise it *was* a new logo! Thought it was a throwback use to the old one!

Yep, it was revealed with the Disney+ announcement. Definite vibes of the Tom Baker 1970s logo:

Vibes!? It’s a revamp of the same one! :)

I actually thought the D- announcement had just used an old logo simply for illustrative purposes. Definitely just a refining of the same old one…

The new companion is Millie Gibson who will play Ruby Sunday:

Never heard of her, but she seems genuinely sweet and bubbly. Also very pretty. I'm exited to see her in action!

Ruby Sunday? Who could hang a name on her?

(I'm more of a Classic fan, back when Companions were orphans or stowaways, and viewers didn't read binge-fan magazines about where the "romantic relationship" would go. We sure didn't ask that about Patrick Troughton & Jamie.
It was supposed to be a surprise that Colin Baker's obnoxious 6th Doctor actually liked Peri after all.)
