So disappointed we only get one shark show in the UK this week. I mean WHO watches all this stuff anyway!!?!!?!??
My friend is obsessed with shark shows. I don't know why, she seems like a regular sane person but she lives for shark shows.

Found this on Chicken Run:
This film is being added as part of a larger offering of British-made films that are being added to Disney+ in the UK and Ireland to help fulfil a quota, which requires at least 30% of the content offered within a streaming service, be made within Europe. It also helps boost interest from British and Irish viewers, who want to watch films and shows that they can relate to easier.

It’s true. I do relate to chickens easier.

Yeah, okay, I get that (and a bunch of the other titles)…but Disney doesn’t own it!?

What, FOX Pathe' Europa, you mean?

(Think it was still independent DreamWorks in the US, but Fox had the video rights for a while.)

Ah, okay, so Fox used to actually put the Pathe branded distribution units in stores. Right. Well they did a pretty good job of hiding that. So I guess Disney has some kind of UK/Europe residual 20th rights, then (well, obviously they do, or else they wouldn’t be adding it to D+ would they?). But it’s fun to know how they now have that (a dig to 'Flix, who are bankrolling the second one?).

DreamWorks produced the first, for Aardman, though Paramount handled actual distribution (DW gets the credit, but as with Pathe and Fox, Paramount was "secretly" putting the cans of film in the actual cinemas, hence why their logo is on the tail of so many early DWA films), taking a small fee for their trouble.

The DW films are a mess in terms of distribution from when they started. Slowly things have been realigned since, with everything mostly now falling under Universal, who coincidentally co-pro'd a bunch of early DW films.

In addition to the recent Encanto option, Disney+ plans to release Sing-Along versions to more titles including the Frozen films and Beauty and the Beast, animated/live-action respectively. Fun. ;)
Dates have been announced: August 19 for the Beauty's, and coming this week Moana! You're welcome.
