NBC has just sold all rights to alf to shout factory who now owns the tv show, both cartoon shows and the project alf movie! Shout has announced a new alf project. (we don't know if it's a show or movie)
But will alf be a puppet or cg this time and it's shout so expect dvds of the cartoons!

I WONDER if this has something to do with ALF becoming the hip new Gen-Z "codeword" for symbolic demonizing of all 80's sitcoms, and by extrapolation, all vintage pre-streaming scheduled network TV of their parents' era in general.
Go ahead, ask your teenager what old series he's seen, and clock how long until the A-word gets joked about...
That said, it would be nice to get a complete Shout boxset of the ALFTales toons this time, instead of the one six-episode disc we got about fifteen years ago, to go with the one six-episode disc of the main Saturday-morning ALF toon.
Oh well, at least the ALFTales one had the Jack & the Beanstalk episode on it.

Last Alf rant was Millennials now it's Generation Z. Yeesh.
By the way, the Beanstalk DVD has 7 episodes. "I've brewed up a little plan. Get it? Brew. Ha!"

Yeah, the last time, it was WandaVision, but now I'm seeing that Geico ad, about the couple living in a sitcom-set apartment, on ad-streaming every five freakin' minutes.
(And you thought the Progressive ads had issues. )
And I still say there are scenes in the first Shrek movie that have co-writer Roger S. Schulman's timing for ALFTales gags all over them:
(Magic Mirror: "And if I refuse?"
[points to guard]
[guard smashes hand mirror])
(And you thought the Progressive ads had issues. )
(Little Red Riding Hood): "'Oh Grandma, why is this night different from all other nights?'...Oops, wrong set of questions!"

Oh my God I actually remember this line…probably my favorite joke in that whole series lol.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

That, or the end of the Goldilocks & the Three Bears episode:
"We could form a new singing group, the Mama & the Papa: 'Dreaming of our beds...Dreaming of our chairs...'"

There is now a 24 hour Alf channel on Freevee! They have all 102 episodes of the classic series and will soon be adding the animated spin-offs. Much as I love Alf the character, I was never a huge fan of the show. It had its moments, but eh.

Remember Alf? He's back, in Reynold's form! Not a full-fledged comeback, but sponsored segments. Still cool!

They should maybe call it The Complete Alf? Saying Alf: The Complete Series does just imply the live show, but the other way around implies more/everything. Too late now, but just an observation, especially as it isn’t immediately obvious from the front of the box.
Interesting to see if they do issue separates: depends on the packaging and if they’re individual cases with different UPCs. If it’s a digipack with everything in, that’ll be a tougher breakup and incentive to put out as the Complete set will have already cannibalised a lot of those sales (if they even think there’s a market, which is why they’ve probably bundled them in the first place).
Oh, yeah… I was sure I’d posted this here before; always makes me smile:

With any luck, that means ALF:TAS and ALFTales will now belong to the Shout Family, which means they'll be on permanent rotation at TubiTV and other streamers.
Think they're there already, but never hurts to make sure. And again, it's better to have discs than trust streaming.
(And yes, darnit, Rhonda does "look like Teri Garr" in the ALFTales "Cinderella" episode. )
